Hmmm....why did JB have to get the rats stoned and "test his will" by allegedly strangling them? Seems an awful lot of bother to go to,and as Susan pointed out,a sheer waste of weed  ;)
And how would that prepare him for murdering his family with a rifle?  :o

Tyler I looked up about rats and cannabis. Almost all species of rat  dont have receptors for cannabis so it would have no effect or may make them hyperactive.......certainly not stoned so he was either kidding or its a big fat fib. ;D

Yes,and another one that he "allegedly" told her.She did not actually witness the killing of any rats!
I imagine that he may have joked with Julie about getting the rats stoned.I remember when I was a teenager and used to smoke it,some of the not so nice members of our crowd would give "blowbacks" to cats or joke about putting it in rock cakes and feeding it to their dog.  >:(

Tyler,it may answer some of your questions to learn that the story came courtesy of Steve and whilst not for ONE moment am I suggesting that he made it up, I won't vouch, with the same certainty, for the integrity of the publication which first insinuated the story.

There are several points, regarding this colourful tale, which IMHO, must be raised. Firstly, how did he catch the rats? My father, a champion ratcatcher when he was 9yrs old, grabbed them by the tail and dispatched them against a wall. Let us suppose that Jeremy, probably NOT a champion ratcatcher, manages to grab a tail. What next? Does he put dope on Ratty's favourite food and wait for him/her to become hungry? How does he know how much to administer in order that Ratty doesn't die BEFORE strangulation which brings me to my next point. I am reliably informed that it isn't possible to strangle a rat. Whether this is because of its physiological make up, or from fear, that having once let go of its tail, it could inflict a nasty bite, I know not.

All in all, it seems like a great deal of time, trouble and good dope wasted on an exercise to prepare himself for shooting his family.

JM really had to dig the dirt with her 32 statements. What a nasty person.

Rats are smart, they don´t eat just anything. Some species even have "cupbearers" who are made eat first, then the rats wait for some time to see if the unfortunate one doesn´t get sick and they deem it is safe to eat it, THEN they´ll embark on the meal! Blowing smoke in their faces seems impossible, how do you get that close to rats without them taking a runner?  :o
It is comical to even discuss this, but would Julie really come up with this on her own? This particular aspect does seem to incriminate Jeremy, sorry to say.

Hi Maggie

I think JB probably liked to tease/wind people up as I do  ;D  ;D ;D  ;) ;) ;).  Probably something JB got from NB as he also liked to mess around as per AE's wit stat.

Apparently SB didn't like NB smoking in her home and JB would tease her about the drug squad arriving  ;D ;D ;D.  (Pity SB didn't adopt the same moral code towards issuing duff cheques).

I know very little about drugs having only smoked a few spliffs and eaten some cannabis flapjack many years ago.  But I thought one of our national icons ie Sir Paul McCartney was until recently a lifelong user - recently quitting at the request of his third wife  :).  Is there anyone more peace loving than Sir Paul?
