I am afraid it will be Susan.  It need not be as long and drawn out as the last application which took over 8 years, but it will not be quick.

Yes, I remember watching a movie not long ago about a lady called Sheila Bowler - that show helped her win an appeal and huge public support!!

They don't make em any more and the production team got disbanded.  Have a look at the 'torso in the tank' case in the other cases section.

Rough justice featured the case several years ago. David Jessel, the presenter, became friendly with bamber and used to visit him in prison. When rough justice ended he started a company called princess productions who made a documentary about the 2002 appeal. David Jessel is a member of the ccrc.

He was a CCRC Commissioner Vic, but he is no longer.

I wonder if he still believes in JB's innocence, he would be a powerful ally!

He was a CCRC Commissioner Vic, but he is no longer.

He appeared on the video clip which also featured Ewen smith so presumed he still was.

I shouted very loudly at the 2002 appeal that there was a massive conflict of interest within the ccrc over Jessel. He was getting documentaries commissioned about cases the ccrc were discussing where said documenteries would be worth more to his production company once recommended to appeal. After I complained he remained a ccrc commissioner but removed all trace of himself from the production company. Guess who made the documentary leading up to the 2002 appeal and guess who had one all ready to go when he would be released?.....

Are you saying DJ had ulterior motive's here , apart from his belief an innocent man was imprisoned for a crime he believed he did not commit ?

Vic do you mean that RJ featured the case twice or only once?  I was not aware that they had featured the case at all.  Do you know how it would be possible to view the program/s?
