Jeremy was questioned about whether the silencer and telescopic site was on the gun on the evening before the shootings - DCI 'Taff' Jones and DS 'Stan' Jones, questioned Jeremy about these issues when they went to see him at his cottage on the 9th August 19785, before they handed the keys for whf back to Ann Eaton later that evening. Jeremy told the police that the silencer and scope was not fitted to the gun on evening of 6th August 1985, when he handled it, and that he had not taken them off in the interim period between the penultimate week end previous when both had been fitted to the rifle on the occasion when Anthony Pargeter visited the farm to fit a new scope to his Bruno rifle?
