From what I can recall, David Shaw (a pseudonym) is an Australian who wrote a book in the style of a novel which talked about the use of steroids, I think, in sport - in weight training?

That sounds right. The book (a paperback) is Over The Edge (ISBN 0646330470), and is unavailable to buy, but you might find it in a library. Curiously, his publisher doesn't seem to have published any other book. Google finds some speculation (probably wrong) about his name. He has helped mike tesko, and his wording seems to have been used in mike tesko's posts occasionally, but I think he rejected out-of-hand some of mike tesko's speculations and mike tesko rarely mentions him now.

Shaw's work is rather strange - it reads like a novel even though much of it is fact, and the evidence to support the account is mostly ignored; various details are not quite right. However, the description of the trial makes a good read. If it were published, a libel suit might result.

I agree that some details aren't quite right. A lot of it sounds a bit like the stuff that Mike has been saying.

I found it interesting because it followed the events in chronological order, which made it easy to follow, and it gave some insight into the personalities of the people involved - people like Stan Jones and Julie Mugford. I don't know how accurate it is though. Some conversations were reported as if he was there in the interviews.

I agree that the way some things are reported it is like he was actually there at the time. I think that is why I am finding it such a compelling read. Well worth checking out.

I think David Shaw said that took place in the late 70s but RB said it was in 1983.

going back to "who is david shaw" as we know he was writing a book on the whf murders, and was looking for a publisher for his book. mike gave him the details of a publisher and that publisher is now on the facebook page, and visits jeremy.

David Shaw believes that there was a small group of police officers who were inside the farmhouse, who knew the truth about what really took place surrounding Sheila's death in the bedroom, which he refers to as "the inner circle" all of whom were Freemasons, although he says that this feature was coincidental..
