he would of been better off just pleading guilty.

I can't help agreeing, a 6 week media spectacle is hardly going to help him.
....just cos I eat worms...

I know Mark Bridger hasn't been found guilty yet but the evidence at this stage appears overwhelming.  It seems to me that peaodophilia is on the rise?  Just listening to the lunchtime news and Stuart Hall (don't really remember him myself) has been found guilty of indecently assaulting young girls.

Its going to be impossible for him to get off with the murder charge and have it reduced, here is a man who had obviously over time courted the idea of some kind of abduction of April or some other kid by the way he encroached on their lives on various fronts, social networking, observing as well as depraved images leading to some form of fantasy scenario he wanted played out.
It could well be the case that at some point April became free and he ran her over then as he isn't clear about the order events happened. The disposal of the body was pretty calculated also.

Hi Gordo :)

That's exactly what a criminologist would say...

What I would like to know is would an alcoholic get that drunk and not remember?  :-\ :-\ :-\

Hi Patti  not sure if an alcoholic would remember or not I know they can have blackouts and not remember but how would one know if he was telling the truth. :(

Hi Susan :)

I read that he was an alcoholic, but he was also driving and had been to parents evening. It could not have been that long after that he picked little April up.  If he was drunk then I would be interested in hearing any witnesses that say he was drink at the parents evening....I personally don't think he had time to get drunk and even if he was drunk, he drove his car and took April...I think he is lying through his back end... :(

Patti I agree think the guy is a liar and was not as drunk as he is trying to make out.

I wonder how they would determine whether he was drunk or not? I wonder if blood tests or hair test can tell you?   :-\

And charge by all accounts...Do you think things are going to far? I think there is a big difference to a 15 year old girl than that of say a 12 year old....I might get shooted down for saying that, because even at any age to force someone in a sexual act is against the law..... :-\

In April 2013, he pleaded guilty to indecently assaulting 13 girls, aged between 9 and 17 years old, during the period 1967–86.When the news became public knowledge at the beginning of May 2013, the BBC immediately terminated his contract.
From Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stuart_Hall_(presenter)

Patti yes, to me it makes a difference because of the age of the man, in this case Stuart Hall. In 1967 he was 38 years old, he was old enough to know that a child under the age of consent was too young to be sexually active. Its not like we're talking about two love struck teenagers under 16. Plus, him being on programmes like 'It's a knockout' would have, I imagined given him plenty of access to children when he was supposed to be in a position of trust.
