Mmmm,I'll look at this later when I return, and see if I can fathom out who these two " baddies " are. I need to study it you see. I know one thing, neither were Jeremy.! Probably the ones who framed him.

Mike, Neville was on the phone to someone, we dont know who.

So, i dont think from that we can deduce who he means when he said "Those two are nasty pieces of work".

It could be anyone, we'll never know.

Andrea...

With respect, those "two nasty pieces of work", could not be a reference to Jeremy, alone - do you not agree?

Jeremy was/is a single person, so he can't be both of the people refferred to in that instance...

We just dont know who he was speaking to Mike. He was obviously speaking of two people, but they could be anyone.

Yes, of course, but as I say both persons referred to could not both be Jeremy, although one could have been, and the other could have been Sheila, or niether of the two people spoken about could have been Jeremy or Sheila...

Seems to me though, that as far back as September 1984, Ralph felt threatened by somebody...

I dont want to sound simple mike but a clue might lie at the 1st part of the statement, is the person still alive?  did anyone in the company he worked for knew things he did not if , did Neville say no more about it or do records exist somewhere with names of these callers, it does not sound like jeremy does it? 2 males to me and not savory at that, repo men comes to mind.

Well, one thing for sure,Neville wasn't referring to Jeremy when he stated that " they were two nasty pieces of work "
Pity that call couldn't have been recorded. Yes,it must have been bad for Neville to have spoken in that way. Someone trying to rip him off over land.? Maybe. As that bone of contention was probably always there with Neville, but unfortunately, because he said little or nothing about business,or anything else, nobody would be any the wiser, and the same has led to speculation as to who the caller was,but it was apparent that something was amiss concerning business.
