yes the police knew Duane had guns. they had harrassed him a few yrs previously. and he invited them into his flat to see and check his guns. duane belonged to a respectable gun club which was his hobby. the guns were fully licenced legal +above board..and yet the police tore the flat apart?? removed the guns?? took duanes money accusing him of all sorts..for their absurd behaviour police had egg on their faces..had to return the guns, return the money which accompanied a bank reciept (which was duanes rent money for landlord) and were handed a bill from the landord to pay for all the damage caused in the flat..including ripping down the curtain fixtures+fittings.. they behaved like annimals and were obcessed with the guns?? and still wont release them or any other of his property so a law suit is in order..why break up the flat when they were let in willingly..dont even get me started.. some one must have mentioned where duane planned to go on the monday..police wld have contacted council to call them once he arrived for his appt i wld guess..duane isent violent  and was in total shock..

Yes they were probably tipped off he would be there, or if the police knew he was securing a tenancy they could have asked the council to call him and arrange for him to come to the office on the pretence of completing paperwork or something.  Either way, someone knew that he had been to the council offices in the previous weeks or had an appointment there that day, and informed the police.

Duane was supposed to confess to

Daniel Pearson - initial suspect

Goerge Ndubsi - Pearson and Ndubsi have been friends and associates for several years.

Sam Smythe - best friend to Daniel Pearson

After Pearson was let out on bail, he visited both Smythe and Ndubsi at their homes.

Duane was then arrested, at the council offices, I wonder how the police knew where he was that day to arrive armed?

Who gave the police the information about Duane having guns at his home, they must have had this information prior to his arrest?

pearson was a local drug dealer.
duane smoked the occasional joint..big deal.
ndubsi had moved from london to kings lynn years back.
duane had moved out of d.williams house over a month prior to incident
the laundry bag of clothes retuned to duane was handed back to him 3 days before murder
the t.shirt in question was in the bag
the t.shirt had been out of duanes posseion for 33 days, dna evidence reveals the FULL DNA profiles of at least 3 other individuals 'collar+under arms
including matching dna to the deceased indicating he was possibly wearing duanes clothes prior to handing them back to duane in laundry bag of unwashed items.

Oncesaid I am trying to be fair and have already deleted quite a few posts already. I agree it is unfair to the thread, but all threads tend to go off topic now and then...So I have done my best to edit and delete... :) :) :) :)

Fair enough Patti, I understand how difficult it must be to moderate this forum.  ;)

The abuse was aimed at Stephannie which was taking your son Duanes thread off topic.  Patti tried to moderate the thread as best she could.  Stephannie done the right thing and went to another thread, (where her attacker followed her),  to keep this thread free from personal attacks so that other members can discuss or read the details of the case.

On the 14 March 2011, my 27 year old son Duane King, was arrested at gunpoint, in the local council offices in Kings Lynn, Norfolk, on suspicion of murdering a local man, David Williams.

Duane had been finalising a council tenancy at the council offices and had known David Williams only briefly.  Three other people were also arrested, one being the former partner of David Williams.

But as the investigation proceeded, they collaborated on their stories and became police witnesses. Duane was charged with murder on Thursday 17 March 2011, just 4 days into a murder investigation. He was formally charged on Monday 21 March 2011. Duane’s baby daughter was born on the 14 August 2011, while he was in prison waiting for the trial. He has never held her. Duane was convicted of murder on 14 October 2011, on a combination of circumstantial and unscientific evidence. He has been sentenced to 28 years. I have launched this campaign to win an appeal for Duane, who has a new team of solicitors to fight his case.

Hold on Steph, how can you sat Duanne only knew Williams briefly when he lived with hin=m for a time prior to the murder?
I am not suggesting that Duane was guilty btw, but find your post confusing.

Hi Buddy,

I believe he lived with the deceased for just under a month.

He had been introduced to the deceased via his girlfriend (Duane's) - who incidently had been invited to stay there by Paula Sadd (the deceased ex girlfriend) - who was the first person to be arrested).

I hope this helps Buddy.

This case stinks of a set up imo; with one of the suspects turning police informant to save his own backside.

Supergrass!!!  >:(
I do agree the case stinks. I am trying to understand why the police did not haul in the main suspects.
Of course I realise that the police were using the main suspects  as grasses, but it seems they could have prosecuted the grasses. Hope this makes sense, as I get a tad garbled at times when I try to get it all out. :(

I think the prime suspects father gave a false alibi to protect him, which was proven to be absolute lies in court.

There was also CCTC evidence produced by the defence team to support this.

Buddy I bang on and on about this but you should have a read up on noble cause corruption.

Most, if not all MOJ cases appear to have similiar threads (can't think of the right word) running through them.

It's almost like the police has a secondary law book that we don't know about.  >:(

Buddy I think unless you've experienced something like this first hand, I don't think anyone truly understands or believes what the police/CPS are capable of.
I think you are wrong on your last points Steph. I do realise how the truth can be twisted, and has been countless times in the past, of which there are too many to recount.
Thankfully I have never been on the end of this, but I am sure this happens a lot.
Can I politely ask you to remain on topic as I am interested in your plight, but you seem to get distracted at times. Please stop rising to the bait even though it may be hard at times.
It is said that the best form of defence is attack, but at times silence is better.
Tell you what I was interested in was the evidence kit the police used. I did not realise it contained the same flock fibres.
You have an uphill battle Steph, but I wish you well in your quest. If what you say is true, then it is frightening that the murderers of Joan are still at large.

Ooh Buddy I missed this...  ;)

It's my husbands 'plight' per se you are referring to...

In reference to rising to the bait - I have seen no 'bait' to rise to - just childish, schoolground insults hurled in my direction.

I prefer to stand up to bullies Buddy but you go ahead and sit on the fence...

Paris joined this forum recently and Shona came out of no-where wih her asube; Paris appears to have taken this out of context, which any new member would.

Maybe you should take your grievences up with a moderator; Roch would be a good one. I started a thread especially for Shona but Roch locked it.

He told me that Shona normally has a drink at night time, and alluded to an idea that we should tollerate people like this.

If I met Shona in real life she wouldn't say a peep...!

Buddy you are going off topic in relation to 'my uphill battle' but if you are genuinely interested - 'I' (Simon & I) don't have too much farther to go now thanks...   ;D

Wouldn't say a peep? Don't you believe it.

Hang on a second.  What I suggested was that posters late at night may have had a drink, which might impact upon an increase in arguments.  I don't think I specifically referred to Shona but let's not take this off topic.

David Williams: A family statement

We are very pleased with today’s outcome and could not have asked for more from the Crown Prosecution Service and the Police Force in what they have done to get justice for David’s murder. We are very satisfied that the correct person has been found guilty.

David was a private man who kept himself to himself and all he cared about was getting custody of his young son so that he could care for him and bring him up, wanting to one to move to Hunstanton to give him a good quality of seaside life.

Mr King clearly entered David’s home and brutally killed him for what seems like very trivial reasons, none which validate his sadistic actions.

Because of this David’s son will grow up to never know his father and for that there will never be any justice. David’s family will now concentrate on making sure that his son grows up knowing how important he was to him and how he love nothing more than caring for him when he was alive and that he was his everything.

David will always be in our hearts and our thoughts, and we hope now justice has been done that he can rest in peace and watch over the family he has left behind.
