I'm still just here Maggie. Like you, becoming weary. One more try.

Not Another Stupid Word And Not True.

That's all, folks. Night, night.

I have just noticed this thread, which I suppose lies just on the right boundary of acceptability, providing that the posters stick to the medical evidence, whether it be anecdotal or based on a doctor's clinical diagnosis.

With the latter thought in mind I recall Dr. Hugh Ferguson's statement that in his opinion Sheila was not a suicide risk, because she had too much to live for. When told about the murders he was surprised and said that he could possibly have envisaged harm occurring to June but certainly not to Nevill, who was a friend and a stabilizing influence in her life.

Without repeating all the arguments about Sheila, her nails and guns I do find it telling that Sheila had never instigated violence onto anyone else, even whilst in the midst of a full-blown psychotic episode. I still reiterate my belief that schizophrenic patients who are non-violent by nature will not suddenly grab a gun,or a knife which must surely have been available to Sheila whilst she was living with Colin, but not once did she use any violent implement in harming anybody else, but the violence was in frustration directed against herself.

Fair enough, that's your opinion - but it does happen.

It does happen, it has no doubt always happened and it is always a dreadful tragedy.imo

Morning, Packagebuilder. Hope you're not nursing a hangover this morning. I feel that Patti just might!!!

I believe it was 5 nights past full moon on the might of the shootings. I has always been accepted that the moon has a strong effect on the emotions. In astrology, the moon is female, the natural ruler of Cancer, whose subjects are famously given to mood swings, and in control of our moods and emotions, an easy task, given she is powerful enough to control the tides. The French word for moon is "lune" from which we get the word "lunatic" as the moon's influence in this area has long been recognised. Staff in psychiatric hospitals will speak of changes to their patients' behaviour around the time of the full moon, restlesness, aggitation and violence often accompany it. It's effects can become exacerbated for women through their menstrual cycle, being especially bad for those who suffer PMS. It has been calculated that women have more accidents, commit more crimes, even committing suicide during the pre menstruem, than at other times.

Patti  you will have to be punished for being under the influence of alcohol whilst in charge of the forum.  Will let you know your fate later could be to do with packagebuilder. :)
