I think, by now, it would have gone into the annals of history. Given that all those involved are, by now, retired or have been pensioned off, it's probably become part of police filklore, and like the "Scottish play", never mentioned lest evil befall he who mentioneth it.

Jeremy Bamber has given his version of what it was that they all saw, for example, he says that they became aware of someone standing to the right hand side of the main bedroom window (where the bodies of June Bamber and Sheilas Caffell were eventually discovered by the police) and that at this point the police suggested that they all hide themselves behind a small retaining wall in the garden..

Bamber further says that whilst they were all crouched down behind this small retaining wall in the grounds all looking in the direction of the main bedroom window that they all witnessed the silhoette of this person walk from right to left across the full opening of the window and out of sight to the left..

At this precise moment one of the officers who he believes had been PS Bews had then told them to make a run for it and they had all dashed back out of the grounds of white house farm and back to the police car where Bamber says one of the police officers who had been with him in the grounds of the house when the person had been seen moving about proceeded to pass a radio message giving an account of what they had all just witnessed..

When exactly did "retaining wall" become "hedge"? Did they dash off in the same direction that the figure seen had apparently taken?

I can't see why he would use a stop watch and time Jermey's arrival form when he had passed his car its just not cricket. 2 3 or 4 minutes??? was he clock watching and if so why?

Yet he goes on to say he thought it was the back up car.....now why on earth would he think that if he had just passed Jeremy....mind boggles.

Not to complain since the library is handy but there are a few links in it that I noticed in he past were wrong.  Offhand I don't remember them but will try to look.  I do know that for some people who had multiple statements, the same link was listed twice instead of to the second statement. 

Scanning to see 2 in a row that are the same should not be too difficult though finding the right link might be.

They work for me, and looking at the links they all appear correct. If you notice it happening again then let me know and I'll see if there is an issue.

Looking again, there is one for Vanezis and one for RWB which is as you describe. They point to the post before, I don't think it's much of an issue though.

The only issue is that the real ones are elusive if someone actually wants to read them.
