In my mind the silencer is unimportant. it hinges on the telephone call/s.
I don't think it matters if Sheila was on the bed or not. What matters is if  this call was made, or should I say these two calls were made. One from Ralph, and one from Jeremy. It follows that if one call was made then Jeremy is guilty as charged. There can be no other explanation.
I don't believe for one minute that the fire arms team shot Sheila, as they could have admitted this, and called it self defence.
Was the evidence tainted, of course it was. Does this make Jeremy innocent, of course not.
We need to know more of the pohone calls.

Investigating the theft of drugs from WHF fields and shipping to Colchester) the police certainly had the means to track and record calls to and from both WHF and Jeremy Bamber's house in Goldhanger?
However, because this police operation was secret at the time this telephone evidence could not be used in the murder trial either for or against Bamber. Just what information the police had on the telephone calls is of course unknown.
However personally I do not think that Bamber will every get out of gaol except there be some tind of miracle or completely provable evidence. But of course I may be wrong on all counts?

Grahame, much as I don't want to, and because my head is more pragmatic than my heart, I'm inclined to agree with you. I'm not in a position to speak of other MOJs, my interest in Jeremy is, in part, to do with adoption and in part, location PLUS, whilst acknowledging that he was no innocent and may well have been up to his ears in devious dealings in attempt to look like one of the big boys, none of this makes him guilty of murder and if what you say, regarding the theft of drugs, is true, it's quite feasible that he could simply have been hung out to dry.

Hi Buddy. In my mind evidence will never be produced...It is a case of whether you believe the call made to Jeremy for was real.  It can't be proved either way....so in the eyes of a juror it would be cruel to convict someone based on a call that can't be proven either way.  I believe that Jeremy did have a call that night.  Even if he had planned the murders, he would be most stupid not to have made that call, just in case it could be traced....So therefore I believe it existed....not that I believe Jeremy planned it, but proof of the call would show he was telling the truth and would exonerate him from the murders...I think.

I don't think this can even be slightly true, lookout. If Sheila had a drug debt of £40,000 Jeremy would have been screaming about it two decades ago. I don't see where Sheila had the time to get a £40,000 debt for drugs, when was she taking them? She'd be dead!

If Sheila owed money for drugs then that's just another indication that Jeremy is guilty,because due to the telephone call evidence adduced by Jeremy the killer is either Sheila or himself. Is this another indication that Jeremy could see his inheritance being constantly eaten into..the Maida Vale flat,the hospital bills for psychiatric care,the breast implants,the public school probably being determined on by the grandparents for Nicholas and Daniel,and now the alleged £40,000 which Sheila owed..

It is not so much to do with the call to Jeremy, but the Two to the police. At the time the police were of the opinion that it was murder/suicide.
What possible motive did the police have in framing Jeremy? It would have been easier for them to go along with the murder/suicide theory.

There is absolutely no proof that Sheila owed money for drugs. I have never heard she had breast implants.

I saw in the book by claire powell several mentions of Sheila asking a friend if she can use her back private garden to pose risqe for a photographer , she told her that she had big debts to pay off, its never being fully explained what the money was for.
