The Rug

In Sheila's crime scene pics, is there a discrepancy between the amount of blood spots on the carpet and the lack of blood spots on the rug?

Where else are there any discrepancies in the photos of this scene?  Can you spot the differences?

Hi Roch, which picture? The link take you to the file with all of the case related photographs, not a specific picture.

Yes, I realise that but I thought you were referring to a specific picture. I'll have a look :)

We suspected that the rug in question had originally been on the far side of the bed, and that when police moved Sheila's body from the bed that they brought it around the bed (with spots of Junes blood upon it) and laid Sheila's body atop it (hence why some of Junes blood was found beneath Sheila's body)?

It may well be worth noting that  (a) no corresponding bloodstain was found on the rug which matched the bloodstain on the rear of Sheila's nightdress, (b) blood was found on the carpet beneath the rug and on the underside of the rug which had not soaked through from the uppet surface of the rug, (c) police cut out a large piece of the  bedroom carpey which contained all of this ( and other) bloodstains, and burt it all on a bonfire in the grounds of whf,  without bothering to take samples of the corresponding bloodstains, (d) the rug upon which had laid Sheila Caffells body once they moved it from the bed was not saved as an exhibit, despite the fact  that it was such a distinctive and unique piece of evidence...

Where did the large blood stain on the open page of the bible come from?
