Although Charlotte’s mother seems to have last seen her on 27 February, it was not until 4 March that they reported her missing

I find that very very odd. why would her mother wait all these days to report a 16 year old girl missing?

it would all depend on how much she saw of her in the first place.

Did Charlotte live with her mother?

does anyone know what their relationship was like?

I am asking because I still cannot understand why a mother would not think it odd not see or hear from her 16 year old daughter for five days.

I have found some answers to my questions

The court heard Miss Pinkney lived at differing times with Mr O'Brien at his Ilfracombe flat, and at the homes of her divorced parents in the town.

Exeter crown court heard how Ms Pinkney, who had been unemployed since leaving school, enjoyed partying and hung out with friends her father described as "scumbags".
