Jeremy certainly wasn't as "cunning" and "scheming" as he was/is made out to be?

Hi Grahame  I don,t think Jeremy was cunning at all very naive and immature had he committed the murders and been clever he would have made a much better job of protecting himself.

But there others that know their guilt that may want to help.

Patti,,I'm afraid that Hell would freeze over before a cop came forward.! Admitting his guilt.?? Nah.!

When Jeremy had rang Witham police station,,he got no response so the phone/s there weren't obviously being manned at that particular time. He then rang Chelmsford police station who radioed Witham station to tell them of Jeremy's call. Because Jeremy was agitated at not getting an immediate response,,he'd asked,," Christ,,what took you so long.?"
Does this sound like someone who'd allegedly fired 20 odd shots into his family.?
From that moment he left himself open to criticism,by innocently stating that his sister was mentally unwell,as though he was throwing the entire blame on to her to cover himself,,,,and this is how the police saw it.

Great post.  He innocently passes on correct information that his his sister has mental health problems.  He then blames the raid team upon being told everyone is dead.

From this, it seems to me that the impression given prior to the raid was that not everyone was dead.  Also the much vaunted claim he that tried to frame his sister is tosh.

It certainly seems to me that the police gave Jeremy the impression that someone was still alive? With their continual reports of being in conversation with someone in the house and movement and dogs barking etc?

It occurs to me that we are all attempting to create THE scenario from numerous diverse theories, some of which will be rendered invalid.

Starting from the point of Jeremy being innocent, I would be interested to know which scenario is favoured by the majority and is it plausible.

Logically, I can see reason for going with Mike's theory of it being a police bullet which finally killed Sheila, giving rise to the need, at all costs, for a cover up and a scapegoat. Emotionally, I favour the presence of a third party with a grievance against the Bambers, because I want to exonerate Sheila.

When I was working on a first floor window in a solicitor's office in Chelmsford the thing that struck me was that hardly anybody looks up. Have you noticed that?

Maybe you are a retired police officer, maybe you worked in the firearms unit and you have information which could help.
Perhaps you worked on the case as a Forensic Scientist?
Perhaps you were involved in the case in some way - as a witness and have felt the heavy burden of truth for 26 years?
Were you one of the 'rookie' firearms officers trained at the Farm House that morning?
Maybe you were a police officer who refused to give evidence against Jeremy and would not go along with the false story (we have names and collar numbers of officers who never gave statements but are on the radio logs at the scene?)
Were you a civilian radio operator?
Did you work for BT and you monitored the conversation inside the farm house before Sheila died?
Perhaps you have accidentally come into possession of contemporary police pocket books through a legacy.

Hopefully the police will release all those documents they still have which show Bamber is innocent.
'Only I know what really happened that night'.
