Thank you ngb....You would think if the jurors were still alive and have doubts they would come forward voluntarily or anonymously. 2 of them didn't think he was guilty...and the judge moved to goal posts, saying he would except a 10/2 verdict....thus, being so, it was all decided within the hour....Has the judge got the right to do that, If all the jurors were not sure?

Jurors rarely come forward but it has occasionally happened.

A judge is entitled to accept a 10/2 verdict but if the verdict is guilty the 10 would have to be sure of guilt.  It does appear than 10 of the jurors were sure of guilt, based upon the evidence presented at trial (which we now know to be incomplete and flawed in several respects.

Maybe you are a retired police officer, maybe you worked in the firearms unit and you have information which could help.
Perhaps you worked on the case as a Forensic Scientist?
Perhaps you were involved in the case in some way - as a witness and have felt the heavy burden of truth for 26 years?
Were you one of the 'rookie' firearms officers trained at the Farm House that morning?
Maybe you were a police officer who refused to give evidence against Jeremy and would not go along with the false story (we have names and collar numbers of officers who never gave statements but are on the radio logs at the scene?)
Were you a civilian radio operator?
Did you work for BT and you monitored the conversation inside the farm house before Sheila died?
Perhaps you have accidentally come into possession of contemporary police pocket books through a legacy.

Great post, Patti!

I always wonder if all 10 were sure Jeremy was guilty or that Sheila was innocent, therefore Jeremy had to be guilty, there is a difference, imo

One problem is that they were not given an alternative, Mags.

That trial was such a farce, how anyone can regard that, or the police investigation that led to it, as justice is beyond me.

They could have just tossed a coin, keira.  That would have saved loads of time and money. >:(

I think it was Ralph's alleged telephone call to Jeremy that the Judge could not rule on a third party?

I think that's right, so in a way Jeremy did stitch himself up but he didn't have the whole story of that phone call if he was innocent.  He didn't know if it was made under duress, made by someone who sounded very like his father, or whatever, all Jeremy heard was the words and , understandably he not even sure about them...

When Jeremy had rang Witham police station,,he got no response so the phone/s there weren't obviously being manned at that particular time. He then rang Chelmsford police station who radioed Witham station to tell them of Jeremy's call. Because Jeremy was agitated at not getting an immediate response,,he'd asked,," Christ,,what took you so long.?"
Does this sound like someone who'd allegedly fired 20 odd shots into his family.?
From that moment he left himself open to criticism,by innocently stating that his sister was mentally unwell,as though he was throwing the entire blame on to her to cover himself,,,,and this is how the police saw it.
