So...

police at the scene stage manage Sheila's body in the bedroom and plant the rifle on top of the body, and move it about considerably, they adjust the hem of Sheila's nightdress, and then place the rifle against her crotch, barrel  moved against her neck, all supported by reference to crime scene photographs, yet the relatives don't bat an eye lid - they don't think police did anything wrong, because they want to blame Jeremy for doing the very things the police are responsible for doing...

Hang on...

lets also throw in the fact that one of the two bullets that supposedly wounded and killed Sheila which started life off as a fragmented bullet, managed to manifest itself and become a whole bullet in time for the prosecutions ballistic expert to link it to the rifle that the police planted on Sheila's body on the bedroom floor?

Relatives didn't and don't bat an eye lid...

Relatu8ves were told at a very early stage (7th August 1985)  that Sheila's body was found on the bed, and yet when they later learn that police photographed Sheila on the bedroom floor with the rifle on it, they do not bat an eye lid...

They continue to believe and harp on about how Jeremy must be gullty...

We then learn that WPC Julia Jeapes spots a rifle (not a shotgun) leaning against an upstairs window, which could not possibly have been the rifle on Sheila's body, or the other rifle found on the spiral stairs leading from the kitchen to the upstairs landing, and yet relatives don't seem bothered about the existence and disappearance of the said rifle from that window?

Oh, I see, we are being random. In that case could I take the opportunity to ask if you have had a chance to consider the requests below yet? Many thanks in advance.  :)

No.  ??? That's really disappointing.

Just trying to get a feel for everybody elses opinion here, but if you were looking into a crime, would you consider it to be fairly important that you had a peek at the documented recollections of the first people to arrive at the scene? Surely that's of absolute importance, if you are intending to consider anything that followed?

Really, really disappointed by this, here's me thinking that there was some sort of a truth seeking exercise taking place here.  :(

Mike, can we go back the lack of marks on her legs thing please?

The thing is, the pale marks you are looking at in those forensics pictures are a lack of lividity in an area which is otherwise covered in it. You are correct that the pale areas are caused by pressure preventing lividity to form. But the fronts of Sheila's legs do not show any lividity (you wouldn't expect them to since they uppermost) and so you will not see any lack of of lividity caused by pressure anyway.

Easily enough explained...

Those parts of the body are areas where there is little flesh, or less flesh than other areas of the body such as the upper legs / thigh / upper torso areas, where there is much more flesh capable of producing visible areas of Hypostasis...

It has nothing to do with amounts of flesh, but anyway, my point is that you won't see pale marks on an already pale area.

Upper parts of the body do not remain pale, only the parts effected by compression, look on the internet to see many images where discoloration occurs on the skin furthest from the ground...
