Favourites at the moment are Two and a Half Men (Charlie Sheen not Aston Kutcher), Suits, Benidorm, Masterchef. I also enjoy watching repeats of Columbo, Perry Mason, Monk, Midsomer Murders (John Nettles not Neil Whatshisname), Bergerac etc.   :) :) :)

I'm not sure that it can be summed up in that way? Some psychopaths are positively evil. I'm not sure I go along with that belief that evil doesn't exist? It is just as much an active force as is love. If there was no evil then then that leaves the law with no right to punish those who wrong others.

Psychopaths that lose control will kill without emotion.  They have to be  locked up to protect the majority but would an extreme psychopath ie. someone without empathy or emotion recognise punishment or would he just build a power base inside prison instead. I'm not sure.

The main reason for courts is to judge with equity and the conviction is geared for punishment. What happens to the criminal after that can be anything they want it to be uncluding therapy or some kind of remedial treatment. But it doesn't alta the concept of good and evil. Both are active forces. The one for the good the other for bad.

I see what you're saying Graham. I was just wondering really whether a psychopathic personality would recognise punishment.  ??? ???

Probably not? But as you said, we can't let them run around free. That's why the courts can order psychological assessments isn't it?

I guess G.  Are all lifers tested yearly for personality disorders?  Is this for prison security?

Chris Lawler
Petey, of course I remember Chris Lawler, he was a household name in late 60s/early70s but went back and checked on him....61 goals as a defender is some record.  You must be really proud of him. ;D ;D

Dexter is excellent, better than the books, they just got really weird!
