Tweet from Simon McKay:-

Spoken to JB.  We will now be considering a judicial review of today's decision.  :)
The fact that Simon mc kay is commited to sticking by Jeremy speaks volumes. It was never an easy task, to take on the establishment and win. However,SM seems determined to win. Hope he can give Jeremy some of his positive feelings. Hope Jeremy can find the strength. There is no real convincing proof that JB is guilty.

ngb  sorry for my ignorance but what actually is a judicial review is the same as Nat Fraser who went to the Supreme Court for a retrial.

A Judicial Review application is made to the High Court rather than the Supreme Court and it is not an appeal in itself but a challenge to the decision of the CCRC.  If the application is successful the CCRC will be ordered by the High Court to reconsider the case applying the correct statutory principles.  If this happens the CCRC will in reality have no choice other than to refer the case to the Court of Appeal.  The appeal itself will then be considered by the Court of Appeal.

ngb  thanks for that we still have hope then.  Is this going to be a long drawn out process.

There are two avenues now open to Jeremy.  The first is an application for Judicial Review.  That would probably take about six months.  The second is to make fresh submissions to the CCRC.  If those submissions were treated as a fresh application it would take a long time before a decision was made, probably two years or more.  On the other hand if the submissions were accepted as additions to the last set of submissions the last application could be reopened and reconsidered and this could take a shorter period of time.

"I am very shocked and extremely disappointed that today the Commission gave us another  “No Decision” with regard to referring my case back to the Court of Appeal.

It is illogical that the fresh evidence presented to them regarding the sound moderator has not persuaded the Commissioners that this material “may have” affected the jury’s decision had they been presented with it at trial.
No doubt my lawyers will ask the eminent forensic scientists (who have worked to produce evidence to accompany the submissions) to give additional information to the CCRC in order to persuade them that this case should be referred to the Court of Appeal.  Until then I shall continue to campaign to prove my innocence in every way I can.
Thanks to Simon Mckay and his team for their efforts. Thank you to everyone who has supported me and  I would like to acknowledge the efforts of my official campaign team for their contribution in building an electronic case file and working with both Simon Mckay and the media on my behalf. "

Is there anything compelling left to submit?. Is there any way of forcing Essex police to hand over all of the remaining evidence?. I can't think of any other cases where they have done so though.

I am as puzzled as everybody as how the CCRC can ignore all the facts put before them.
I'm beginning to think that they are under some external influence!

Hi Gillian...it wouldn't copy and paste using the mouse, but you can use the keyboard keys to copy and paste...CTRL C   to copy and CTRL V  to paste.  Having highlighted it first with the mouse.....

I think we need to recruit people and do a march in London....:)

They try and second guess how the judges would view the evidence.....that alone is bizarre because it leaves the important decision to themselves. They need to get rid of the CCRC asap or they should be thinking how a jury member would think not some bunch of old and out of touch judges who would do anything to protect their reputation.

You would think the CCRC read this forum when taken it's decision , rather than the test's carried out by expert's !!
