•On the night of this particular crime Essex police didn’t apply an incident number as they wrongly got it confused with a different incident – this single point meant that no case could be created.
•The fact there was no incident number recorded and the confusion over another unrelated crime somehow created a situation whereby the police did not attend and collect evidence at the time, this second point compounded the first and ensured that no case could be properly presented to the CPS.
•The incident took place in Clacton and my Daughter lived in Colchester, neither force reacted to 999 calls because they each assumed it was the others responsibility.
•We were never kept up to date with important events, there is a mandate that victims and witnesses must be kept informed, Essex Police forgot to inform us of crucial court dates where as witnesses we could be called, the Domestic Violence unit in Colchester were also supposed to liaise this information to the victim – How does that happen, how can this type of mistake be made when there is already a spotlight on the case and Jason Gwillim was supposed to be managing the relationship?
•The case was officially dropped because Tim Newcomb – the Divisional Commander alleged that we never made a complaint in the first place – Wrong, we made complaints and statements, there was a hearing but we were not informed or empowered to attend, the case was thrown out due to LACK OF EVIDENCE
Sorry to but in campian but just googled essex police cover up and this looks like a recent case, seems to me they still play the same tricks.
