Well originally we were in Port-au-Prince and stayed with the American Red Cross, we were in a large complex, there must have been about 30 or so people in the tent, which was more akin to a marquee, two similar medical tents and several smaller ones were near us. We stayed there (we being two friends, my girlfriend, now wife, and I) for 27 days, clearing debris and delivering medical supplies. We then got put into several teams and travelled to nearby villages and worked our way further inland with the British Red Cross. Stayed out there for 5 months and 17 days and probably made not a single bit of difference.
You probably did make a difference. But the fact that you did it means that you and your wife are obviously caring people. Now surely that goes a long way to explaining what I said about forming opinions on someone through what we see revealed about them on a two dimensional forum?

Hmmm, in a strange way I'd almost like to write to him and ask direct questions, but I'm sure my family wouldn't approve.   :-\

If you wrote to him I believe he would reply and give you direct answers, even though you would no doubt make clear your own view on the case.  On the other hand I can understand that your family would not approve of such contact.

I am sure you made a lot of difference.  All credit to you.

Personally I think he is completely isolated and living in a bubble. He has no experience of the modern world.

That is true but he is trying to keep up with as much of the outside world as he can. He likes to talk about life on the outside. He has a television rented from the prison, with terrestrial channels only.  He has no internet access and telephone contact with a limited group of people.  He can read newspapers and has access to books from the library. He reads extensively and maintains a keen interest in a number of subjects.

Ex forum member Shonapugs aka Shona on the pro-boards forum has stated she did not receive replies to her letters.

I am sure he will appreciate getting bail in the morning. ::)

His computer skills are good - he has some decent kit and software which he uses to analyse the evidence.  Material is sent to him by his team on DVD.

To be fair Dave she always insisted that JB was guilty as charged. I still have some affection for Pugs.

I am surprised but if Shona says that I see no reason to doubt her.  It would be interesting to know what Shona said or asked in her letters.

I confessed a lot of things to Pugs, and she always held my council, so I will not criticise her in any way.
In fact I would enjoy her company again.

I imagine she asked some difficult questions relating to prosecution claims alleging Sheila could not have carried out the killings and allegations about Jeremy's behaviour pre / post the tragedy.  I'm only guessing but that would make sense to me, given her stance on the case.

Pugs is/was convinced a third person was involved. In pm's we discussed various things concerning AP.
It seemed at the time strange that JB made Pargeter the manager of WHF, and later Pargeter became one of the enemy [so to speak].
Pargeter seemed to know too much, and I still think he has not been investigated properly.

Jeremy's letters are censored.  That may be why he was unable to answer if it was specifically surrounding the case.

The vast majority of folk who write to him just write about everyday happenings....it's easy on the brain to reply to these.

Put yourself in his shoes.  He reading through copious amounts of paperwork....labelling it, sorting it etc...his mind must be numb by the evening when he comes to reply to friends and supporters.  Therefore, imagine if he then read Shona's...if, and that's a big IF, it asked questions and questions just about the case...and he sensed from her letter she thought him guilty....he most probably thought his precious time could be better spent replying to friends than to one who sees his conviction as sound.

Well, I think I would do just that if I were him.  This is a very, very stressful time for him.  He is under so much pressure.  If you do not believe in his innocenec, he may not have the time at the moment to try and convince you otherwise, afterall, he has, supposedly, enough people out here supporting him already.

Rather than I judge Jeremy, it's easier for me if I try and put myself in his shoes....at all times.
