I don't particularly like repeating long quotes from others but there's an article here which discusses the controversy surrounding the 2009 retrial which acquitted David Bain.http://www.stuff.co.nz/the-press/opinion/2518912/Plenty-of-doubt-in-Bain-jurys-verdict

You post an article that slags off the jury, because you obviously disagree with their verdict.

In NZ the Police are notorious for getting it wrong, after doing all they can by hook or by crook to get their suspect convicted.

Just google Arthur Alan Thomas, then you can join a forum protesting his guilt and his compensation pay out.

Every case should be looked at individually. There was far more evidence in the David Bain case than in any other..people are looking to solve an Agatha Christie-style murder,or in his case Ngaio Marsh.

im thinking a murder must couse a fair bit of excitement in newzealind seeing as its a fairly small and untill recently crime free country.

..and look at the downside of international competition which leads to stressed out individuals,drug-taking,and the tarnishing of New Zealand's "clean and green" image. I still think it's a good place to bring up families.

Can you explain the Money motive for David Bain to murder all of his family. Inheriting a ramshackle house in Dunedin in 1994, wouldn't exactly set you up for life.

..but look at the policies pursued from 1990 and how this might have affected David Bain as he languished on the dole.http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/what-happens-when-you-scrap-the-welfare-state-new-zealand-has-and-its-economy-is-stronger-but-there-is-a-dark-side--one-in-seven-below-poverty-line--record-numbers-of-people-in-jail--armed-police-on-the-streets--queues-at-charity-food-banks-1428688.html
I do not believe this report.  I have lived in Rotorua and it is a lovely place.  I never saw an armed policemen ever.
