As for Jackie, Keira, I think it obvious that I was trying to discuss with her, in a polite and calm way.

I got my own thread for my trouble as an insult.

And that does what good to the pro bamber cause? That because I know the family my views are worthless?

Shona
You really are a nasty piece of work

Post something when u think I am not around

Wake up and smell the coffee

Sheila was responsible for the murders and everyone knows it

One day I will get to the bottom of your hatred for Jeremy and one day Colin will apologise to Jeremy I know that

Please find another forum to go on when you are drunk because you have not made one useful post to this forum except jb is guilty????

This being the same Jeremy who didn't have the decency to even hand over the twins possessions to Colin? The same Jeremy who made him go through carrier bags in the hallway to get momentos.....

Vidvic! I'm surprised at you.

You know that families have to sort out the things of loved ones when they die. It's a practical and emotional necessity to do this, one of the rituals of grieving and part of the process of coming to terms with the loss. It's a horrible, depressing thing to have to do, packing away a loved one's life, but it has to be done. Those grieving for lost loved ones cannot begin to move on until all such matters have been resolved, so it's customary for most families to do this immediately after the funeral.

Colin was away on holiday for a couple of weeks following the funeral, wasn't he? So he was unavailable to help with this. Yet Colin would have known that it was the customary practice to get the job of sorting Sheila's and the boys' things over with as soon as possible.

Perhaps Colin didn't have the heart to do this because it would have been too upsetting for him? I presume if he had wished to do it he would have contacted Jeremy about it, yet I don't recall that he did that. Realistically, by going on holiday after the funeral, wasn't Colin effectively sending out a message that he did not want to be involved with sorting out the flat?

But that's not quite the whole truth Keira.

After Colin returned he did try to get some things and was quite upset that Jeremy had completely stripped out their things and ( I can't recall the exact quote ) basically had dumped all of the boys stuff in the hallway, in carrier bags.

I'm confused, Vidvic, what isn't the whole truth? I didn't state that Colin didn't contact Jeremy after Colin returned from holiday. We know that he did that, but in leaving it a couple of weeks before he got in touch Colin created the impression that he wished to leave sorting everything out to Jeremy.

Cousins of mine behaved in a very similar manner when one of our widowed uncles died - he didn't have children. I was left to organise everything as my cousins had commitments and didn't have time to help. I had to travel up north to do what had to be done - my cousins lived in the north. I gave the little money that was left after everything was paid for to my cousins, I was too upset to take anything.

Having worked my socks off arranging everything and sorting out my uncle's house, I asked my cousins to come and get whatever they wanted as I intended to donate everything they didn't;t want to a charity shop. My cousins were nowhere to be seen. Yet after everything was resolved and my uncle's belongings were donated to charity, my cousins began grumbling that I should have saved this for one of them and that for another. They also moaned that I should not have spent so much on the funeral.

That's families and funerals for you, Vidvic, a death in the family normally invariably leads to bad feeling and a row.

I just feel that you paint a picture of Jeremy behaving correctly and yet Colin felt quite the opposite.

I wasn't being confrontational, honest. Had enough of that tonight.

I'm not being confrontational either, I promise. It's just that I can see parallels between Colin's behaviour and my cousins'.

Let's be frank, Colin lived practically on the doorstep, just as my cousins did. Those who live nearby should offer assistance, yet they are often the last to offer to help. They will find some perfect excuse to get out of helping - that's what my cousins did. Then, once it's all over and everything's done, such people will say: you should have asked me, I would have helped - but the fact is that I did ask my cousins for help and it wasn't forthcoming.

One of my cousins who went AWOL when there was work to be done, had a real go at me afterwards for failing to keep some horrible little ornament for him. He doubtless felt that I treated him unfairly!

If Colin really wanted to help sort the boys' things out he should got off his backside, gone round and helped. He should have gone on holiday afterwards.

You're right, smiffy. JB worked hard, just 3 days after the murders, to sort things out. Mooching through Sheila's flat and finding her pictures. Breaking his neck to contact the press and offer them for sale. By the way MS Preece, I don't believe you've ever justified this?

Yep - it's degenerated into farce.

I used to be impressed how reasoned the discussions were on here compared to the FB Pro group. Now it just seems to have become a parody of it, with the likes of Jackie, Tyler etc. far more interested in attacking personalities than they are in discussing evidence.

I made a mistake in coming back when I thought there was something interesting to debate  :-\
