Also mentioned, in notes of 8th August 1985, is a reference to David Boutflour telling DS Jones about the gun and silencer fitting into the gun cupboard - so, relatives and the police knew about the silencer on and by 8th August 1985, because as you can see from these handwritten notes made by Ann Eaton, she makes mention of this fact. This seems to fit in with the fact that by that stage, DS Jones had already seized four exhibits from the scene, marked, SBJ/4, SBJ/3, SBJ/2 and (the silencer) SBJ/1...
It should also be noted elsehwere the contents of DS Jones pocketbook makes mention of a visit to see Jeremy at his cottage, 9 Head Street, Goldhanger, on 9th August 1985, where the police question Jeremy about the rifle and silencer?
Police so obviously knew about one of the silencers from a much earlier stage than they have admitted to knowing about it (long before the alleged find of it on 10th August 1985, by the relatives, and its supposed handing over to DS Jones, on the evening of 12th August 1985)...
