I realise that Sheila and Jeremy were both adopted, and they traced Sheila's natural mother for dna comparison. But Freddie repeatedly refers to Ralph as her father, and June as her stepmother. Is there any reason for this?

Carry2:- This is interesting...
The only thing I can think of, is that Sheila met her natural mother, who flew to the UK for the meeting from Canada, a few weeks before Sheila died in the tragedy at whf (along with other members of the family), but Sheila did not try to find out about her natural father, nor did she seek to find out anything at all about him through the adoption agency...
One gets the impression that Sheila got on well with Ralph, and it could well be that they had a good father and daughter working relationship, whereas, everyone appears to have noticed the existence of a strain between Sheila and her stepmother, June, which stemmed from Junes religious beliefs, and the way June tried to impose her beliefs onto Sheila, and her children...
I can only guess, that this was why Freddie refers to Ralph as Sheila's father, and to June, as her stepmother...
