Anyone seen her in action? Absolutely ruthless.
Why shouldn't she be if shop owners/workers are going about their lawful business and getting violently assaulted by shoplifters?
I was in my local One Stop on Thu eve about 8.30pm. I walked in and went up a far aisle, picked up a 'simple salad', and then walked down the next aisle where a big guy, tall and muscular, burst through the only entrance with a big fabric bag and started clearing the shelf of houshold cleaning stuff. It was immediately apparent what was going on. Only 2 members of staff on: a tallish thin guy in his 20's and a medium built woman in her 30's. They both put themselves at the centre and the shoplifter said 'You're not stopping me mate'. Within seconds he was gone with his ill gotten gains. Apparently it happens pretty much daily. One Stop is owned by Tescos who tell their staff they must not intervene. They have to report it to the police and then Tescos claims under its insurance. And the law abiding majority end up paying for it in their shopping.
