US Carriers impotence vs Iran

"Iranian General Fadavi: There is not a single American vessel within a radius of 700 kilometers from Iran."

    Also,

"IRGC Commodore Alireza Tangsiri announced that if a tanker can convince an American warship to escort it through the Strait of Hormuz, we will ensure the security of that tanker regardless of which country’s flag it flies."    ;D

Is it reasonable to infer from the above that both the US and Iran believe that the Iran could sink a US Carrier? US Carriers are too distant to be effective for offensive operations against Iran. I think USS Lincoln began to approach a few days ago and retreated back after missiles were launched. Shouldn't US jets be taking off from these Carriers to launch bombing raids over the uncontested skies of Tehran by now, or something? But the Carrier Groups remain hundreds of miles away as US bases, radars and embassies are attacked. Hormuz remains closed and under full Iranian control. US remains powerless to do anything about this. Iranian AD clearly functional as Empire's AD is degraded across the region.
Will the US Navy dare to send in their Carrier Strike Groups? What will happen if they do? All the talk of deploying Carriers is at the moment, just that. Talk. Everyone but David understands why.

USS Gerald Ford out of action for "at least 14 months" after a "laundry room fire" that took 30 hours to extinguish and left 600 sailors without bunks, plus an untold amount of injuries. USS Lincoln over 1,100 km away after retreating subsequent to an admitted skirmish with IRGC missiles. IRGC claim to have struck USS Lincoln, US claims missiles missed. The result of the encounter was the withdrawal of USS Lincoln from approximately 350 km from Hormuz to 1,100 km distance. The entire US misadventure is an entirely predictable shit show. Carriers proving to be next to useless and afraid of venturing close enough to have any real effect.
It's day 23 of the US 3 day war. Iran are in no mood to negotiate with the US who have demonstrated their malevolence and bad faith in negotiations previously by launching attacks and assassinations during the previous "negotiations". IRGC have taken over the negotiations now and it will end when their demands are met. US bases will be removed from the Middle East permanently. The damage being done to these bases and especially the long range radar coverage would take years and billions to repair even in a non hostile environment. US presence is being removed radar by radar and base by base anyway. Making these bases uninhabitable and indefensible is all the negotiating that Iran is interested in with the US.
The longer term consequences are likely to see the Middle East map of Sykes/Picot redrawn. A number of Gulf Kingdoms are almost certain to fall without the US presence. Bahrain, a Shia majority country ruled by Sunni "monarchs", is on the brink and they have brought in Foreign police to quell the protests. Iraqis are removing the US presence in Iraq, the Embassy "green zone" under siege. Decades spent waging wars and the increasingly large military footprint built via those aggressive wars being erased in a relative instant.
The "80 year curse" of Israel (https://jeremybamberforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,11727.0.html) is becoming more likely by the day. No US presence in the region is the end of the Zionist regime state. US defeat in Iran will trigger unstoppable and inevitable consequences.
