Yes, the pattern of the marks is the main thing, Rob!
And the doc maker article points out that the angles of the top mark matches the end of the handle.
I dare say Philip Boyce has produced a convincing dossier of evidence to the CCRC.

Boyce knew what he was doing Snow, but it's wasted on the CCRC.

I would like to see his theory of the scratch marks redone using photogrammetry and the latest modelling software? I am not sure if there are enough hi res photos though?

They don't match and the door would be cold anyway.  it has been dismissed by the CCRC.

But similar to Nevill calling Chelmsford Police because two logs from two different people differ, it keeps him in the media.
We dont know what the CCRC has said about the Aga evidence yet, Adam!

Yes, anything to prove the Aga made the marks, Rob! then Boyce could do another prog for TV to get the evidence and its implications to a wider audience.

All that matters is that the pattern of the burns on Nevil match the pattern obtained from the handles of the Aga.

Seeing as some members say the Aga handles are too high I am not sure what point you are trying to make?
Ok, let’s flip it,  If this reconstruction were being used to convict Bamber, the height mismatch would matter enormously.  Interesting that more attention is paid to the curl on a letter g in a statement that Mike spotted than to an Aga being three inches higher in a reconstruction that’s meant to explain PHYSICAL contact?

The point is that changing the conditions changes the outcome.

It’s not complicated,  if you have to change the height to get the result, the result isn’t reliable.

Exactly,  Boyce knew what he was doing alright,  which is why he chose an Aga three inches higher., that just confirms the reconstruction needed the three inch step to work.

Was NB flat on the floor or was he raised up in any way say by falling across the leg(s) or a part of a chair.
Sorry. Bubo I missed your post….. Whether Neville was flat or partially raised doesn’t fix the problem. The reconstruction still has to match the Aga height and handle position,   but it’s plain and obvious,  Boyce is using an Aga mounted Approx three inch higher than the WHF Aga seated on the floor.  That’s not a reconstruction at all, Boyce is implementing or Engineering to make it fit.

Also In the video clip he talks about a possibility based on the Aga being on full heat, but there’s no evidence it was running flat out and on full heat, especially in the early hours of an August night. He also says it’s the same model as the WHF Aga, while not mentioning the crucial difference in installation height. Not only is he engineering height difference,  he’s choosing the heat conditions most likely to make his theory work.

Have to go by the multiple raid team WS's. That say Nevill had his head in the coal scuttle. Together with the crime scene photos.

The officer who said 'one female in the kitchen' would have seen it was a male if Nevill back was lying against the aga.
'Only I know what really happened that night'.

We do not have a detailed report which outlines his processes. He could have done multiple tests at various temperatures to determine the level of heat required. We do not know what if any adjustments he made to allow for the height difference.
We do not know whether the Aga was built up before they retired for the night. When a child and we relied on coal fires we would build it up to get the house warm for the next morning. Without the Aga they had no means of cooking other than the microwave. We will have to wait and see his full report.

During winter months, closed fires were banked up at night to ensure warmth in the morning. I don't recall that ours was used during summer months. You obviously missed the Baby Belling.

He based his test on the Aga on full heat, he states this.  He never mentions he’s done multiple tests or he would have said. He didn’t make any adjustment to height, the stooge was on the floor and the Aga is seated three inch higher than the WHF Aga. We built our fire up at night in the winter, there was no need to in the height of summer, cooking wasn’t a problem,  kids like cereals in a morning, Neville was an early riser anyway and would have lite the Aga.  As Jane pointed out, they also had other means for cooking.

Would you accept this as evidence to convict Bamber, the Aga had to be on full heat, and the Aga had to sit three inch prouder than the one in WHF where body contact was made?
