I don't have any personal experience with the police other than 3 x SP30's over many years.  I guess I have always seen them as a bit thuggish and thick.

I know WC appeared plausible but I still think I would not have been compliant.  Time was getting on, it was dark and cold.  I would have been keen to keep on walking at pace to get home without any disruption and would not have taken kindly to what I would have considered unnecessary interference.

I hope the bastard is getting terrorised in Frankland. I am sure he is even on a VP, scummy bastard.

do you think a 65% moon would have provided no light?

You are asking the man who says he can't go into his own garden at night.

Not enough to cycle in on a rough track.

Not enough to cycle in on a rough track.

Pages Lane is a road for vehicles. The Sea Wall is a cycle/foot path.

Both in open areas. ILB even thinks there are 3.00am BBQ's on The Sea Wall !

In 1985 it was a rough track, one wrong move and you would be in the sea if cycling fast.

A rough track in 1985. So thar is why Wilkinson said the terrain was good.

I's good if you do it in daylight, locals at the time said the track was so rough they were surprised Bamber never got a puncture.

Be very unlucky to get a puncture in a one off cycle ride round trip of 8.4 miles. Pages Lane is a road & The Sea Wall is a foot/cycle path.

I have been cycling off and on since I was 6. Had about 5 punctures.

Do you think if he'd had a puncture he'd have been unable to continue on foot?

He would have to continue if on the way back.

If on the way there, I wouldn't fancy the walking.

Were there other bikea at WHF? He could do a swap if needed.

Really need a supporter to go to The Sea Wall at night. In August. Then post video footage.

Surprised no one has in 41 years. Or maybe they have but didn't want to post video footage. .

ILB needs to make a decision.

Either it was too dark to cycle. Or the vision was so good there were 3.00am BBQ's.

He can't have both.

Actually going there, which he said he was going to.do, would be a start.

Not at all, fruitless excersise.

Nobody knows for certain the method he used for travel.

I've heard of beach & garden BBQ's.

But a 3.00am BBQ in 'pitch black' on a cycle/foot path between two small villages is a new one.
