Funding to challenge CCRC decision
« on: December 09, 2025, 01:45:PM »
Just noticed over on Twitter that Emma Morris and the team have started a fund raiser to challenge the CCRC decision. They need the public to raise £20,000, the full cost of the legal challenge is £47.500 but they already have some funding in place.
There is 29 days left to donate.
Not the best time to ask for donations with Christmas coming, but surely everyone can contribute something, even if its just a few quid!

I thought the Solicitors working for Bamber (Jordan’s)  Would  challenge it Snow?  Do they take Tesco vouchers? Every little helps!

So is this confirmation that all the submissions to the CCRC have been refused?

I might donate. But I'll need to see the Statement of Reasons - I'm not just going to believe what I'm told by Jeremy and his team.

I somehow don’t think you’ll be donating then Johnathan?

I'm confused because I thought that he was still waiting for some of his submissions to be reviewed.

Can it be taken from this that Jeremy has been told none of his submissions will be referred to the Court of Appeal?

The Guardian put Bamber’s allegations to the CCRC, which responded: “A provisional decision on part of Mr Bamber’s application to the CCRC has been issued to his legal representatives. Work continues to consider additional matters which were raised in Mr Bamber’s application.”

The Campaign team will only let out what they want to Johnathan as far as I’m aware?

cases that are not referred to the Court of Appeal, the applicant is informed of the decision and the reasons for it; while these individual non-referral decisions are not published in the same comprehensive public library format as the referrals, general information and statistics about all case outcomes are made public in annual reports and other publications.

I would say they have rejected every ground Johnathan based on the fact that they are launching an Appeal, once the CCRC have rejected their involvements ends?

General Information
1.1 1.2 Once the CCRC has made a final decision on your case, the CCRC’s
involvement in your case review ends.
If we decide not to refer your case then there are several options
available to you:
a) You can make a formal complaint - see Section 2 below.
b) You can seek a judicial review in the Administrative Court - see
Section 3 below.
c) You can re-apply - see Section 4 below.

The CCRC only publicly announces a case when it refers it back to the Court of Appeal.
   •   Non-referrals (rejections) are not publicised by the CCRC.
   •   They consider the outcome private between the CCRC and the applicant, unless the applicant themselves chooses to publicise it.
   •   This is standard practice to avoid reputational harm and because many applicants do not want publicity.

So I guess we can assume the whole lot has now been refused?

It's a bit weird there's been no mention of this - and we've jumped straight to crowdfunding.

Yes, it follows a similar pattern, what you’ll get now is the Campaign team and CCRC watch criticism of the CCRC and Essex Police,  and trying to drum up support, watch this space.
