Pity you haven`t got Netflix Steve, there is a very interesting documentary about this case from the girlfriend`s side of things.

I'm sure there is, but isn't it the same old story of a murder (or in the Tony Parsons story manslaughter) and the culprit exposed by his partner?

Funnily enough your name evoked memories I had long since pushed to the recesses of my mind, and coincidentally awakened again by an old episode of Coronation Street I watched on YouTube recently.

I'm not sure I lost my heart in Herts, and in my heart of hearts I'm probably relieved it fizzled out. To explain: I went out with a girl from Herts at university for some time- a blue stocking, but to simplify she wanted to experience the bright lights of London, whilst I was content to return home to the Manchester area and care for my elderly parents. The relationship may or may not have worked out.

I'm now resigned to bachelor status.

Well you`ll never know whether it may or may not have worked out.

Both of you chose to go down different paths.

If it was meant to be it then it would have been.

People cross our paths for all sorts of reasons, some stay, some go but it`s usually to teach us something.

:(  (What has happened to the crying emoji?  It doesn't work?)

It's never too late to find L-O-V-E Steve.  Perhaps you will have more time and opportunity in retirement  :)

I think one should resign oneself to Jacques' speech in Shakespeare's As You Like It: https://youtu.be/DN_aZ4qUono

Seems a pity you have plans to visit/live in exotic locations alone  :(

I have lost count of couples who are "together" and are so in name only.
