Hostage families say Netanyahu should 'immediately' end fighting in Gaza
published at 21:13
21:13
Families of Israeli hostages in Gaza thanked President Trump in a letter, following the announcement of his agreement with Prime Minister Netanyahu.
"We are profoundly grateful to President Trump for his unwavering commitment to our families and the state of Israel, and for achieving what we have been desperately seeking since October 7 – a deal to bring all our loved ones home," wrote the Hostage and Missing Families Forum in a press release.
They called the agreement "historic" and called on Netanyahu to "immediately order a cessation of fighting in Gaza, which continues to endanger the fate of our hostages."

What shall we call it then Steve?   Genocide is an international crime involving acts committed with the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial, or religious group

A United Nations commission of inquiry says Israel has committed genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.

Most of the population has also been repeatedly displaced; more than 90% of homes are estimated to be damaged or destroyed; the healthcare, water, sanitation and hygiene systems have collapsed; and UN-backed food security experts have declared a famine in Gaza City.
Both Steve and David are aware that Israel is committing genocide, HB. They have eyes and ears, and see the genocidal acts on a daily basis and hear the genocidal intent from Presidents, PM, cabinet members and military leaders. They aren't even convincing themselves never mind anyone else with their dishonesty.
The points they raise don't even need debunking when the truth is self evident. As noted earlier by Roch, the whole of Israeli society is deeply sick as demonstrated by their own words on Israeli TV.

But you're forgetting what religion they are:

Exodus: 21:24 Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.

Netanyahu on Gaza: https://youtu.be/5f5MCztASzw
You are quite unhinged, Steve. Even if you believe that the Israelis have the right to revenge based on their religion, does that also grant the right to kill those who are innocents and have done nothing based on their ethnicity? Is the next verse, "And then kill all the babies, women, doctors and nurses", "And bomb the hospitals and starve the population". I don't know who you imagine you are convincing with your increasingly delusional posts.

I think it's devaluing the word genocide to apply it to Gaza.

Since you didn't watch the latest video I posted stating that Netanyahu supplied food to Gazans, maybe you could watch the following and learn what real genocide looks like: https://youtu.be/R0c8DLdDzow

Your thoughts are based on wilful ignorance. They are also in conflict with every humanitarian aid organisation, the ICJ and the evidence in front of your eyes. Don't you believe the announcements made by Israeli military and officials which can only be interpreted as having genocidal intent? What would you call what is occurring in Gaza, if not genocide? Everyone with eyes and ears can see and hear a genocide in Gaza. What is it that you are witnessing, Steve?

not true.
They could’ve risen up, they could have fought against that evil regime" -  Isaac Herzog President of Israel

“A complete siege on Gaza. No water, no electricity, no food. Like in Beirut 1982. Water for the

Just a handful of the hundreds of statements of intent to genocide. When Israeli officials make such public statements, what mental gymnastics do you have to go through in order to conclude that there is no intent? Full database for you to peruse below, Steve.

I am surprised Steve did not play this card instead.

“If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, Then Lamech seventy-sevenfold”  Genesis 4:24

Regarding an eye for eye. There is an ironic co-incidence to that phrase.  :-\

What you fail to understand is that it's the Palestinians who have genocidal intent against the state of Israel. Until the former break the link between the establishment of a state of Palestine and the destruction of a Jewish state there will be no peace in the region.

It isn't me that's "failing to understand", Steve. You understand very little(to be generous) of world affairs, as you repeatedly demonstrate.

Hamas AGREES to hand over all hostages under Trump peace plan for Gaza: President to address nation.

Hamas also agreed to hand over administrative control of Gaza to an independent body of Palestinian technocrats. It claimed those technocrats will be 'based on Palestinian national consensus and Arab and Islamic support.'

The terror group appears to have rejected Trump's proposed chairmanship of a 'Board of Peace' that would rule over Gaza, with other leaders such as ex-British prime minister Tony Blair suggested as members.

Very wise move to reject Blair……. The inquiry found that the culture that prime minister Tony Blair established in Number 10 led to a lack of discussion before the decision was made to invade Iraq. Blair was known to operate what became known as a “sofa government” – an informal mode of working that saw him relying on an inner circle of people invited to hang out on his sofa in Downing Street.  This culture of limiting discussion to a select group was combined with a habit of making important decisions and commitments unilaterally. Blair made some policy by sending personally authored notes to US president George W. Bush, the content of which he had not discussed with relevant ministers. The infamous “with you, whatever” note that Blair sent to Bush in 2002 is a prime example. Blair committed to backing Bush come what may without talking to his cabinet and with no change in official government policy.

The recently deceased Menzies Campbell gave a great speech about Tony Blair entering the UK into the war against Iraq. I heard it on radio yesterday.
