Vauxhall Astra.

If JB did call at 03.36 and was on the phone for 8 to 10mins with West. He could not drive a Ferrari to be back at WHF at 03.50. MT did a test drive from Goldhanger to Pages lane entrance and timed it at 8 minutes.

Walking & driving would take too long.

RB said there would be good light on Bamber's cycle route?

How can driving be too long?

A beneficiary if Jeremy Bamber went away for life said there would be good light on the cycle route.

Bamber said he did some work with AE at the caravan site. AE was paid £700.00, he was paid nothing.

That motivated him to rob the caravan site. Although he testified he did it to show poor security.

In fairness he didnt bring this reason up in 1985 but now he has done years on.

We all know he and the star prosecution witness robbed it for greed but the AE scenario probably contributed to it.

Do you think RB lied to help frame Bamber?

The light can be easily checked. By either side.

Yes, thats a good point, Bubo!
The Police had to hide the fact that there was a call from NB in the same way as they had to cover up the 999 call. If you read my analysis you will see that they had tried a number of theories to use. They moved JB's call back to an earlier time. If you read my posts you will find out how in the early stages JM went out of her way to get the time of JB's call speaking to Helen Eaton and the time was 03.15.

If you investigate you will find that they moved it back in stages 03.12 03.02 about 03.00. They manipulated JM's original statemen to 03.30 and then used these timings to suggest that he said stuff like 'its going well'. This idea extended JB's window to half an hour so he could have made both calls. They could also say he phoned JM before the police. That is true. But he was seeking advice from JM at 03.15  because he wanted to make the right call. She told him to go back to bed. Eventually he called the police.

At the trial they had to disclose the Bonnett log because it showed when vehicles were despatched and other relevant information. They had to weave it in by saying that he was recording information given by West. He did but that was added  to the text recorded from NB before his call was abandoned. The JB addition is below.

They had to overcome information in West's log that referenced NB. The same applied to the pocket books  and the original statements (still undisclosed) of of the CA07 crew. They rewrote this evidence starting at 03.36. This led to West's embarrassing moment at trial when he had to concede that JB called at 03.26. CA07 were spared this by only being questioned at trial as to events after arrival at 03.48. If JB was  still on the line at 03.37 they could not get to WHF from Witham in 8 minutes but they said they left at 03.45.

They used this fake Timeline to bamboozle the COLP enquiry who did not know or realise that the 03.36 call was the starting point for the false timeline. The CA07 crew  all state that they left at 03.45. They must have had a Tardis to arrive at 03.48 .

Walking and driving would take too long.

Nevill calling Chelmsford Police and Sheila calling 999 have been dismissed by the CCRC.

Neither the 3.26am or 3.36am times work. The 999 call is good for social media but another appalling submission ground since 1986.

What do members think about the two part documentary?  I watched both episodes today online.

I think the Psychologist was pathetic. In the first programme she makes the point that we should not assume that other people feel and behave as we do. She says that JB and SC had a mixed relationship in terms of their relationship without giving any examples. In the second programme she gives a summation of her views as to why he is guilty, interpreting his behaviour as showing his culpability. She is directly contradicting her earlier thoughts about using our own thoughts to explain the behaviour of others.

How can driving take too long?

Walking several hundred yards to the car, then driving would take too long.

Nevill calling Chelmsford Police at 3.26am or 3.36am has been dismissed by the CCRC.

Bamber dismissed the possibility himself on the 7th August 1985. Taff, West & Bonnet never said Nevill called them in the hours/days afterwards.

It is just one of the appalling grounds submitted in 2021.

Bamber's not going to spend 10 minutes pretending to be Nevill at WHF. Then tell the police Nevill liked keeping family matters private.

Would have been better to ask the police if Nevill had also called them as well as him.

One option would be to call the police from GH at 3 26am & pretend to be Nevill. Then call the police himself at 3.36am.

That only gives him 4 minutes to get to WHF.

If the police/BT could determine both calls were made from GH that confirms guilt. He would have to be 100% certain that could not be done.

Upon meeting the police he would be searching for clarification from the police Nevill had called them. Rather than saying Nevill would not do that.
