But it added up to the most senior investigating officer at soc: chief sup Harris, along with the raid team, police surgeon and pathologist.

The only dissenters in the immediate aftermath were DS Jones and the relatives.

Bews & Miller also said they were suspiscious.

The raid team, pathologist & police surgeon were there to do there jobs. Rather than try to determine who was responsible.

What do you expect Mrs Eaton and Mr Boutfour snr & jnr to do? They genuinely believed Jeremy was guilty..
Of course they did.  Ann Eaton wanted the truth out, none of this murder/suicide drivel -

I was just being silly. I agree with you.
I don’t think it’s silly at all Roch, as the evidence materialised it just simply didn’t add up, the Rabbit story, the sights and silencer missing, the two shots to Sheila, watching Bamber reaction,  and that’s not including the number of bullets fired from someone not known to be interested in Guns ETC. Common sense would set doubt and a belief it wasn’t true.

I think they forget, there was answers needed, there’s a woman lost her Sister and a Mother lost her Daughter, posters tend to brush the family off as nobodies.

No, they took advantage of the situation for their own benefit.

Please tell us how you would have approached it differently as a relative.

Like most people would, since I am not a Machiavellian sociopath.

It never once crossed my mind that you was David,  maybe it did others though?  I don’t think it’s a very nice label to attach to people that you have never met before,   but I guess thats a Hobby of yours.

Quite easy say she was complicit with him and fully on board and was involved in a conspiracy. Highlight quite rightly that the only reason she came forward was because she wasn't going to get her share of the spoils because he left her for a more attractive woman.

You can sing saint Julie all you want.
But that would mean admitting guilt himself. I doubt he will ever do that, not seeking redemption, seeing what religion did to his sister and mother. Plus he could kiss goodbye to the Bamber estate and compensation for wrongful incarceration.

I am talking from the perspective if he had admitted gulit back in 85.

Doubt he would have played the " yes it was totally me, she had nothing to do with this, the buck stops with me guv"

It would have more than likely been a case of " if im going down she's in the next carriage "

As said previously Julie was only reliable ammo in this case as the primary target Jeremy was denying his guilt.

Suspect the high echelons of EP knew she was much more involved and on board as a conspirator. But in the grand scheme of things as far as they were concerned as long as Jeremy went away the job was done.

Bews recalled his recollections in documentaries and interviews some 30 years later
Although in fairness he did query with Jeremy " why no 999 call?
