2002 Appeal judgement points 283-285: https://ceadstorage.blob.core.windows.net/cead-images/Bamber.PDF
Bamber was put on surveillance after his arrest and placed on Bail.  Cal in her book gives his movements, nowhere does it place him at WHF.  Anyway, this was brought up in the Appeal.  The prosecution wasn’t aware about the Surveillance or they could have used it against him maybe?

In evidence the appellant stated that he had returned to the farm the night after his
release or the night after that – i.e. on the 14 or 15 September. In evidence he said:
“After my arrest at Chelmsford I went to London, came back
and had not got my key. I needed car documents kept in the
office for a holiday and I got in the loo window. I left a note on
B.Wilsons desk to ask her to pay my solicitors bills”.
280. Had prosecuting counsel been informed that the appellant was in fact under
surveillance and in London at the time a potentially devastating cross-examination
followed by the calling of rebuttal evidence would have caused the defence much
embarrassment. Mr Turner contends the matter could have been simply explained
away as a mistake as to dates, the actual visit occurring on 16 or 17 September as in
fact he had instructed his solicitors. We have seen his proof of evidence to that effect.
281. Since prosecuting counsel was not given this information, the appellant avoided this
potential crisis and since the appellant knew of the surveillance no possible
disadvantage accrued to him by reason of its non-disclosure

I can't see any reason to doubt the veracity of the above -although I appreciate that supporters will claim it doesn't indicate guilt- is it any wonder I have no faith in the CT's genuineness.

He admitted that the burglary at the caravan site had been motivated by greed and that by breaking a window and scattering papers around he had deliberately sought to give the impression it had been committed by somebody other than him.

Mmmm, admitted the burglary, smashed a window and deliberately sought to give the impression IT HAD BEEN COMMITTED BY SOMEBODY OTHER THAN HIM………..RING A BELL?

I always thought he would have denied the burglary or furthermore tried to say it was Julie's idea.

By admitting the burglary he had to accept that their was a part of his character which was greed. Which was a gauge of bad ethics at his trial in 1986.

He also showed he could stage a crime scene.

..and therein the conundrum: silent on Julie, the woman who betrayed him and kept him behind bars for forty years.

He maintains she has lied for 40 years.

He did attempt to contact her early in his incarceration and this was halted by the prison service.

Stop short of him being unable to board a flight to Canada, what else can he do?

Those who represent him I.e his CT regularly make posts about Julie.

Bamber lives his life in a concrete box with limited access to the free world.

So Bamber is asked a serious question, have you ever got in That window by using a knife to open a latch?  It’s the downstairs toilet window.  He can’t be sure of the last time.  But because it’s been painted he’s panicking and wondering what they have.

And,  when he’s released on bail, Guess which window he uses to enter WhF (so he claims) to get his documents, surprise surprise,  the LOO window.

He said he knew he would be the prime suspect,  but they wouldn’t be able to prove it.  I suppose because Julie knew exactly how he had been done,  Re the key inside on the string I think, and the account she gave of him doing it, her admitting her part,  he probably had no choice.  It would have crossed his mind beforehand the shit she would have on him and vice versa, but, I suppose when your being questioned, each question your asked, you must be thinking what have they got to back this up?

I thought though he may have tried to interlink Julie's chequebook fraud and so called " love for money " with the burglary and attempted to make a pattern.

So, we can add this window to the list of the one’s
he’s climbed into over the last six months,  after he gave this answer.,  and So if he can’t say how many times ………..I take that as he’s lost count.

I am like you I believe Julie may be up to her neck in it as much as Jeremy.

With this in mind I dont look much into her WS as they could be easily portrayed as entirely self serving.

Yes I see what you mean ILB.  Personally I think they’re both in it up to their neck ILB, Julie on her knowledge about it and her involvement to cover for him.  Either way, Julie is an Evil character,  on both accounts if Bamber is guilty or innocent.

Julie is absolutely vile Hardy.

She got cold feet due to him having other women.

Anybody who looks at this case and thinks Julie left Jeremy on her own accord is an idiot and wearing blinkers.
