Who killed Denis Donaldson?
« on: May 30, 2025, 02:28:PM »
He was a trusted member of the Sinn Fein team at Stormont, yet all the while spying for the British for a period of twenty years. Following an article by the Sunday World in December 2005, in which clues were given as to his whereabouts, he was shot dead inside his County Donegal cottage on 4 April 2006.

Former Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams, who has always denied being a member of the IRA, sued the BBC over a television programme in which it was alleged he had the "final say" over the murder. One can read the outcome here (eyebrows might be raised): https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/newsliverpool/gerry-adams-awarded-100000-euros-in-damages-after-suing-bbc-for-libel/ar-AA1FMb9p?ocid=BingNewsSerp
