If yesterday you hated me. Then today you can not stop the love that binds from me to you. And you to me

Jez has always highlighted Ainsley, SJ, and Cook.

I think the comment has more to do with how he viewed his adoption rather than the heinous crime he committed.

Doesn't seem that way. He is specifically referencing senior police officers and his interviews

Yes, but it's the subliminal reference which came to mind, his declamatory remarks revealing more than repining on his current predicament. His expostulations against the calumniations of Essex police will strike a chord with those sympathetic to his cause, though only strengthen the resolve of those who believe him to be guilty and feel he brought all the tribulations he has experienced over the years upon himself.

The adoption for both children was plain sailing till their early adult years.

I completely believe the comfortable adult childhood JB purports.

I agree to some extent, though Sheila it was who had the tantrums in the back garden, and Jeremy who learned to ape with the aim of achieving his at that stage limited goals. Sheila had implored her parents to be removed from Moira House, whilst Jeremy may have been too overawed to protest at his predicament.

I come back to the Jubilee photograph (someone may post), where he appears malleable, almost browbeaten one might say, until he rebelled in the late teens as he gained in confidence and physically, though not mentally, matured.

More difficult to analyse what comes from Jeremy's mouth, nine tenths of it like an iceberg below the surface.

Why do you think Jeremy never aimed high education wise?

He was gifted in mathematics.

So you dont sense a ring of truth in his voice then, Steve.
Just a never ending cruel devious act?

I think gifted is a relative term, in an age where O Levels were the gold standard. He certainly knew his parents were wealthy, and how much was being expended on Sheila, and the future possibility of private education for the twins. His interest in geography also came in useful, as he fatefully studied the terrain between Bourtree Cottage and White House Farm. In the back of his mind would be the location of his place of birth.

To answer your question more directly, I doubt the stuffy atmosphere of Gresham's did him any favours, with far more chalk and talk lessons than hands-on experience. To his credit he did move on to Chelmsford College after the relative failure at the previous institution, buckling down to work after sensing Nevill's disappointment at his academic performance to date. But by this time he had realized what he was to inherit, and I think the spur and motivation to continue serious study was lost.

I think self-deception might be the word snow66! I can't feel any sympathy for someone who brought the whole tragic situation upon himself.

FFS.  Alan Turing was gifted in mathematics not Jeremy Bamber.

Have you any understanding of 'attachment'?
