Justice Drakes 22 minute window?
« on: April 19, 2025, 06:25:PM »
Was this unfair? In terms of saying the time shelia had from 3.26 to 3.48?

With the property not being entered until 7.30am that morning.

It was fair I assume, because Jeremy himself limited the purported massacre for that time. Had Sheila wounded anyone by the stage of the (fictitious) call it's probable Nevill would have called for an ambulance rather than assistance from a son whom he suspected was planning his own demise.

Yes it was unfair, ILB, how did Justice Drake know who was dead at that stage?
Anyway. it would be from 3.10 to 3.48!

I believe that is the official time snow, Wilkes quotes 22 minutes  from 3.26 to 3.48 from JBs police phonecall for some reason.

Dr craig said " death could have occurred any time during the night "

How is the short window in the judges direction to the jury fair and impartial to Jeremy Bamber?  It's madness.

But to believe Jeremy Bamber's version of events it's hardly credible that Nevill didn't know there had been casualties before deciding to ring his son instead of calling for an ambulance.

In my view they were all dead when Jeremy telephoned Julie. I think Julie knew too when she went back to bed.

That's not true in the slightest.

His account is his father rang him and said " you sister has gone crazy and HAS the gun "

At that present moment in time it may have just been Shelia on an episode and Nevill exasperated leading him to ring Jeremy. Many things may have been going through Nevills head.

But the main point of the thread is I believe coupled with a none confirmation of time of death and the raid team not entering till 7.30AM that morning, Justice Drake was manifestly unfair when giving this direction in a trial when the trial rested on the aspect either Jeremy Bamber or Shelia Caffell committed the offences.

Logically speaking fairly SC had a 3, 4 hour window.

Yes, they were probably all dead when JB phoned Julie around 3.20, Steve!
Except Sheila of course, hard to say when she died!

But if Sheila has the gun and Nevill thinks Jeremy can somehow assist with calming the situation (or whatever) then there's a 22-minute window for her to commit the massacre, which I thought was the subject of this thread.

4 hour window.

Not a 22 minute window not a 3.10 to 3.48

Very unfair to Jeremy Bamber in summing up this IMO.

The Judge references a 22 minute window from NB phone call to JB . Which if shelia was a killer had to be done in that time frame ( all dead) as at 3.48am, Bamber, Bews, Myall and Saxby were at the scene.

Stood outside a large gregorian farmhouse.....

Adams and the firearm unit didn't arrive until 5AM.

So just the quartet doing the perimeter.

But doesn't that make sense? If Nevill knew of casualties he's not going to cover anything up at that stage. It would be bound to come out sooner or later.
