Candelario was another criminal who approached the authorities. Giving her story.

Hopeing that they would show her sympathy & not believe in the unthinkable.

She didn't have much choice. Too many people would know she had a 16 month baby. So she couldn't just hope no one would notice Jaylin was not around.

Believe suspision formed within hours rather than days.

The court hearing was quite robust. The prosecution rightly outraged at what had happened.

There was a photo of Jaylin in court. Which was a nice touch.

The hardest part was listening to an audio of the next door neighbours security cameras of Jaylin crying.

Candelario's parents testified on behalf of her. Which some people were surprised about.

Mental health was ruled out. She worked, had brought up another child & had driven for a vacation. What was she thinking?

She said in court she prayed to god & Jaylin. Which she is entitled to do. Then said they had both forgiven her. Which will never happen.

Watched the prosecution & defence final presentations yesterday on court TV

The defence lawyer struggled in having to make a speech. Canderlario's parents spoke. Mainly about asking the judge for mercy.

Very sombre court room after sentancing. Canderlario left quietly. There was no back slapping from the prosecution team. Candelario's mother crying. Poor woman.

Been suggested Candalrio had left her baby before & she had survived.

Maybe she had done the same with her first child as well.

She did leave two bottles of formula & some snacks in the play pen.

Can only think the baby slept a lot and was not a big eater. So she got careless & thought that was enough. However miles away from being enough.

If she had told the truth straight away, believe the sentance would have been the same. Her lies didn't convince for long.

Her appeal was dismissed in a short statement.

Read she planned to appeal after she was sentenced. Did not believe any lawyers would want to assist her.

Her lawyer in 2023 said it was the hardest case he has had & said at the time on Youtube 'what the hell was she thinking'.

Says her other daughter was with her grandparents in Ecuador.

Don't know why both daughters were not with the grandparents. But the fact is the mother had to be a mother to her daughter still at home.

I don't know the full circumstances but Jailyn probably kept the US Department of Homeland Security off her back.
