Sciatica is a strange thing to me.

I have in the past managed to lift weights with no massive discomfort, sat on planes fine. Etc

Then the simple wrong move, just recently for example was being sat on the chair and I picked the cat up to give her a fuss and I felt the pain in my buttock and then BANG, literally three days agony laid out.
If yesterday you hated me. Then today you can not stop the love that binds from me to you. And you to me

A session in the back room of a local Chinese Chippy will cure you - https://streamable.com/fjxqhk
I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and furballs.

It is very strange ILB and very painful, you probably caused it by trauma, stretching the muscle or damaging the muscle which then irritates the sciatic nerve, a lot get it even from falling. It’s a pear shaped muscle that is attached to the lower spine and connects to your Femur (thighs) you have one either side and it passes through your buttocks.  If you read about it, it will give you exercises to help you.
