Mail on Sunday article
« on: March 30, 2025, 09:46:AM »
There is a very good article in the Mail on Sunday today: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14550879/Jeremy-Bamber-boost-bid-freedom-whistleblower-says-police-tamper-murder-scene.html

It will be interested to see what happens following this.

Very interesting possibly.

I would have thought it may have been a disgruntled copper with an axe to grind against superiors but it seems the officer in question had an exemplary career.

Not a great fan of the dailymail though so treat everything with caution.

I am not a fan of the Mail either but they have been taking a close interest in the Bamber case over the past couple of years.  They have put some resources into investigating this and if what they report in this latest article is correct it could be significant.  Obviously it would be necessary for the former police officer to be interviewed on the record and a proper witness statement taken.

Without going all conspiracy theory I wonder what has made this individual officer wait almost 40 years before coming to light with this information. For this reason alone is why many would be skeptical.

That is a fair point.

It's not just this though, there are severe problems with all aspects of the case.

Maybe a conscience has been pricked.

Yes that was my thought, plus maybe he thinks the truth is slowly trickling out?

The trouble is the case was deemed intuially murder suicide. JB was in the category of a bereaved relative.

How feasible would it be for the crime scene to be tampered with by officers hours after when Taff had it wrapped up?

If he'd been hauled in from the get go and banged up on remand it would seem more feasible. The fact that Shelia was the official suspect for a month makes it less believable.

Thats true ILB, also, it doesn't mean much until the whistleblower lists everything/everybody that was moved, especially the bodies.
Be interesting if they filmed the window fixings.

So who were they trying to Frame?  Because They went with the murder suicide theory after the bodies had been removed, and for a month after,   everyone is aware the rifle had been moved, it was only Julie Mugford and the silencer that changed the investigation?

Supporters continue to overlook the only reason he wasn't was because initially, he had a free hand to tell the police the story he wanted them to believe, with no one to counter it. Why would they question it? It was only when the case for Sheila's innocence became so overwhelming that they were forced to realize he'd made a complete idiot of some of their finest, and do an about turn. By that time, every piece of incriminating evidence, he could have thought of, had been disposed of, one way or another.
