Adam often claims the rifle was low powered only capable of killing small vermin which is simply untrue.

The Home Office has calculated only 3 - 4 joules of pressure is required to cause a penetrating wound.

The Eley cartridges weigh 2.59 grams with a muzzle velocity of 1040 ft/s which equates to 114.42 joules of pressure.

If only 3 - 4 joules of pressure are required to inflict a penetrating wound it is surely clear to see what the effect will be with 114.42 joules of pressure.

It was used to shoot rabbits. Which is what Bamber went to do when at supper. Without sights and silencer.

Rob says it can drop an elephant from 500 yards. Although it didn't drop Nevill.

Had JB been the shooter he would have been capable of killing each victim with one head shot.

But he had to make it look as if Sheila were the perpetrator.

It was a rifle for shooting rabbits. Not a shot gun.

Nevill, June & Sheila all recieved expertly placed first shots. But still needed another 14 shots & in Nevill's case 40+ other injuries.

Yes and yet the likes of AE could not believe all shots hit the victims.  According to her it was too skilful. How could anyone miss at such close range?

To drop an elephant you need something like a .557 Tyrannosaur.

I doubt an elephant will even notice .22lr

Sheila could miss due to coordination issues. There was also the issue of reloading. This has been discussed many times.

The physics of the ballistics speak for themselves.

The shots were all over the place and indicative of a complete novice or someone who wanted to give the appearance of a complete novice.  The overkill was indicative of SC having a psychotic episode or someone who wanted to give the appearance of such.

But the victims at WHF were not elephants.

Not sure why you have to lie Adam you must be desperate for someone to reply to your posts?

As I have posted a few times now any gun that can penetrate a half inch pine board can kill a human. A .22 is not accurate past 150 yards or so so after this you are depending on luck.

From memory and depending on bullets a .22 can penetrate a half inch board at around 700 yards so it's stands to reason from inches it would be absolutely lethal.

Yes in expert hands a .22 has dropped an elephant, not sure of the range but nowhere near 500 yards stop lying.

And yet SC did not seem to miss her nails when varnishing them.  Varnishing fingernails requires far more hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity than what took place at WHF.

Nevill's first 2 shots were in the jaw. Sheila's was expertly placed under the chin. June was shot in the neck.

But it was a rifle for shooting rabbits. More were needed.

We don't know for sure she managed that herself. Claire Powell has chapter and verse on the Maida Vale modelling set. They might well have assisted her in that activity.

Course she did manage them herself, she still had an active social life despite her problems.
