Jean Bouttell WS

For me the interesting thing here is the forensic evidence.  Movement of 4 items around the sink and kitchen window -

Plastic Sink Tidy.

Washing up bottle.

Sponge.

A ball of string.

Jean Bouttell had worked at WHF for 20 years & testified. So her WS is important.

If I had to exit via my kitchen window, several things would have to be moved.

Both at the sink and window sill. This would include a sink tidy and washing up bottle holder.

This together with putting a silencer away with blood and paint on, are mistakes he made at WHF.

They came to light days and weeks later. He may not have been expecting to be a suspect, let alone these things to come up.

A sink tidy would have things on - plates, cutlery, cleaning items, cups.

These must have been put away by him before he moved the empty sink tidy out of the way.

This is what I would call a sink tidy. Jean Bouttell saying it was not flat & was leaning against a wall.

Only time I move mine is for a couple of minutes while cleaning the sink area.  Mine always has things in.

The only position a sink tidy will ever be in is - flat and next to the sink. The clue is in the 'sink tidy' name.

She was also seeing these things moved 'after' the police had been there. It's far more likely that the police moved the items, after all, they admitted to opening the window.

You need to get away from Bamber exiting out of the bathroom window.

That window could not be banged shut from outside.

Otherwise please provide the WS from an officer that he emptied a sink tidy & then moved 4 items just to open a window.

To open my kitchen window, I would not have to move any items.

However as said in reply 2, to exit out of my kitchen window, I would have to move fixed items.

Unless somebody washed up and put all the cutlery away.

For me the main use of a sink tidy, is it lets the plates & cutlery dry.

Best to air dry.  Tea towels and dish cloths are a breeding ground for bacteria.

That's very true.

However once dry many put them into a cupboard.

I have items in mine 24/7. No point putting them in cupboards. Am only going to take them out again.

There was a short time window to let items dry & be put away before going to bed. Considering Bamber was there for supper at 9pm.
