Pearls Of Wisdom From The Daily Fail
« on: February 23, 2025, 11:32:AM »
Is murder written in the stars asks the DF?!  The DF attempts to show us just that by the fact Shipman, Brady and Bamber are all Capricorns!  I wonder what a statistician would make of this given there are only 12 possibilities and the crimes were committed over decades and do not include all those convicted of murder who were not born under the sign of Capricorn  ::)

V.unhappy it was written in the "female" section!  As if its the sort of stuff that appeals to female readers and they would be incapable of instantly seeing the flaws!

It's true, I tell you!   Capricorns - born in cold winter weather, hence cold character traits.

Capricorn weaknesses -

    Pessimism
    Tendency to be a workaholic
    Materialism
    Coldness
    Insensitivity
    Rigidness

The second one is questionable, unless you call perusing through case documents day after day for years on end signs of being workaholic.
I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and furballs.

But that's astrology for you - claiming that stars millions of light years away can somehow influence individual behaviour.

But you must admit that the moon has a certain 'pull', does it not?

And eating a vindaloo on a Sunday night means the porcelain will take a hammering the Monday morning.

The Milky Way is not that big approx 50000 light years radius, and furthest star with naked eye approx 15000 light years but Adam could see stars much further than this  ;)

In the sense that it determines the tides of the sea, with it being a relatively near object.

Also, it is an incredibly beautiful object to look at through a 6inch (or wider telescope).
