Yes imo.

We know that her interviews with DS Jones did not follow protocol.  Eg she was placed in the police training college without access to a solicitor and 'advised' not to speak with anyone on the outside.  She was apparently supervised at all times.

DS Jones was a middle aged experienced police officer with decades under his belt.  JM was a just turned 21 year old female. 

I believe he made all sorts of threats about JM going down as an accessory on the basis JB called her before the police insinuating JM was aware of JB's plans.  Putting to her SC could not have shot herself twice.  Plus she was involved in OCP burglary and the selling of cannabis with JB.  And the cheque fraud with SB.

It would be more a case of SJ monitoring Julie to make a decision on whether he thought she was telling the truth. 

If he thought she may be lying, he would put pressure on her to see if she retracts.

No they were not true!  The pathologist made it clear SC could have shot herself twice.  And in the absence of digital footprints timings of phone calls are approx.  DS Jones' mindset on these aspects can be seen from JB's interviews.  Contrast the interview set up between JB and JM in terms of venue, solicitor in attendance, verbatim transcripts.

She needed to work with DS Jones on his truth to save her skin.

You claim to be a reformed criminal who has spent time in prisons housing cat A.  I can tell you that young law abiding females will obey what they are told to do by a serving police officer.  It would not enter their head that an officer would have ulterior motives.  In the case of Wayne Couzens sexual and in the case of DS Jones securing a conviction against JB to prove himself right.
