Of-course the CCRC aren't going to use the outside "help" of volunteers! For one thing, many supporters are crazy.

Everyone working for the CCRC should resign including the ex Essex police officers. What a farce.

How do you know that "everyone" should resign? Could you do a better job?

Also, how do you know that there ex-Essex police officers at the CCRC?

They are not fit for purpose, how many cases have been rejected where only a little bit of digging would have uncovered someones innocence ?

"Des Thomas, a former senior police officer, describes the CCRC as ‘a badly managed, inept organisation that lacks the knowledge required to conduct high quality and valid reviews’."

To put it in simple terms it's one of the annexes of something that money that can be simply chucked at with it being a government entity but it's just not seen as important as the people applying to it are convicted criminals.

Whether it be Jeremy Bamber, Andrew Malkin, or guy who denies as a common assault charge.

If yesterday you hated me. Then today you can not stop the love that binds from me to you. And you to me

Karen Kneller looks to be taking a hammering in the Guardian. My account with them doesn't work, so can't see either article.

"Pitcher “would conduct Teams meetings from the balcony of her villa in the sunshine” in Montenegro and boast about her jetset life in weekly memos to staff.

Meanwhile, Karen Kneller, who remains chief executive, has been given the nickname “Karen Invisible” by staff. She is described by some of those working for her as “absent”, with her “finger off the pulse”."

I can relate to this. I spent over four years working in IT for a private medical tech training company where 90% of its revenue was from government contracts.

One of the directors would be emailing me from his mountain cabin lodge in Canada complaining about the servers being down (that was due to him not wanting to invest in adequate hardware and software licences). His wife who was in senior management became known as "AWOL" (absent without leave).

Their management of the company got so bad, It became apparent to the staff that the government were no longer getting their moneys worth and the government soon realised that also. The company folded when the contracts were cancelled.

The CCRC is a de-facto private company with one customer (The UK Government). Things will only change when the customer (the government) starts to care about the service being provided.

That is much too generous. The CCRC doesn't even have a pulse.

What is an alternative remedy to the ccrc? If its ever disbanded.

Back in the day if I remember correctly you had to petition the Home Sec. But may be wrong.

If for example one could ever be conjured up?

The Home Office C3 division was in-charge of dealing with miscarriage of justice. The Home Secretary still has pardon powers. The CCRC can petition the Home Secretary to pardon a convict, but has never done so.
