Did it have a connection with Jeremy's fist?

How would June get anywhere near Bamber a crack shot? Bamber could not afford a single scratch on him or it's game over.

Pathologist linked it to track of bullet behind.  Bill Robertson has pointed out the marks on June's throat and chin; and suggested that it's a black eye from fight with Sheila. Pathologist has left out mention of mark on June's chin and has downplayed marks on June's throat.

June was shot 5 times in bed. From her side of the bed.

I don't agree with the theories that after receiving her 5 shots June -

Fought Sheila in the kitchen.

Read prays from the bible to Nevill in the kitchen.

Shot Sheila with a shot gun.

Helped Sheila lift Nevill onto the coal scuttle.

Was still alive and shot by the raid team upon entrance.

--------

The crime scene evidence does not support any of this.

And naturally, one can't rule out the possibility of a fight with Jeremy.

From Mike Tesko:

I remember Jeremy telling me that parts of his witness statement had been edited out! He was referring to the witness statements that he made during the first couple of days after the tragedy! When I enquired what he meant he replied by saying that 'things which DC Clarke wrote down in his handwriting' and which Jeremy signed, 'weren't in the typed version of the same'! What was missing? I asked him!

'Well', he said, 'there was the bit about mum having a black eye when I saw her for the last time at the supper table on that last evening', he said, 'she had a really badly swollen eye like somebody had thumped her'! I remember saying to Jeremy, 'what, you told the police that somebody had given your mum a black eye, and they removed it from your witness statement'? 'Yes', he said, 'it was mentioned to DC Clark who was taking my statement'! But 'it's missing from the typed version of the same'! 'Hang on Jeremy' I says, 'your mum had a black eye at the kitchen table at supper time, and you didn't even bother to enquire how it had happened'? 'Oh, yes', he responded, 'I did ask mum as I entered the kitchen but she was 'off handish' and simply replied with a flippent, 'oh', I walked into a post'! 'I didn't enquire further because mum and dad were engaged in a one sided debate come argument with Sheila'! 'They were telling her that she needed help to look after and bring the children up! I didn't want to get drawn in to the argument, so I carried on loading the rifle'!

So, 'how did your mum get the black eye', I asks him!

'Don't know', he said, 'but Sheila could have hit her'!

'What', I said, 'Sheila gave your mum a black eye, and you never bothered to tell those representing you anything at all about this'!

'I thought they knew, because they had control of all the case papers'!

Mmm? I think we all know that Mike (RIP) wasn't given to telling the unmitigated truth, don't we? Indeed, I doubt the judge would label the above as "having the ring of truth about it"!

Cannot be ruled out Jane but if June was in a fight with anyone it is much more lightly to be Sheila.

You know, were it not for having read rather too many poor scripts, I might be inclined to agree with you! Mike's 'piece' reads exactly like one of them, albeit rehearsed down to the last breath!!

There's the added thing that there have never been any recorded incidents -save JB's claim that she hit one of the boys- of Sheila inflicting physical injury on anyone other than herself.............besides which, blacking someone's eye is, I think, more of a masculine trait. Females would be more likely to slap.

June was in a life or death situation Jane, she would do whatever she could to immobilise the attacker.

Bamber would be trying his best to keep his distance, any marks on June / Sheila to me the shooter has to be Sheila?

June was shot 5 times in bed. So unable to be any kind of threat to Bamber.

June managed to walk around the bed to Nevil's side Adam, I agree June was no threat to Bamber but she was to Sheila.

You appear to be of the opinion that June sustained the black eye during the massacre? That's not what I'm suggesting. JB's 'claim' was that it had happened earlier. It's one thing I am inclined to agree with.

If it happened earlier Jane how much earlier? Hours, days?

I have known people to have a black eye after having a tooth removed.
