Remember it's a working farm, and the White House forms part of it. What better testament to Nevill and June than to keep it all going.

The Eatons could have managed the land without moving in lock, stock and barrel.

I could never have lived in the house knowing what had happened, personally I think the house should have been bulldozed.

Most 'houses of horror' are bulldozed.  Even the Dunblane gym:

I would not want to live in such a place even if I wasn't directly connected and it was given foc.

How does this relate to the topic under discussion?
It doesn't really, except that there was more to the White House Farm tragedy than inheritance. Colin lost his children. It may have been posted on a Sunday for a reason, in that a substantial number of people are lonely on that particular day. Fortunately I have the church.

If you're family, you might have a different take on it. Maybe Ann thought the deceased spirits of her aunt and uncle would communicate with her and reveal exactly what happened.

A shame to demolish it - just think of the delicious meals and pies you could make with that still functional coal-fired AGA, as well as coming in to a constantly warm kitchen after a hard days toil outside in autumn and winter.
I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and furballs.

"It is clear he doesn't understand his sister's action either.  How could she?  Boutflour told me he knew Ann's children had suffered nightmares".

Guess I must be a psychopath too then!  But a bl@@dy good cook to boot.

Are we all in agreement that Julies sudden recollection of the Twins being shot first is very suspect. Considering Robert Boutflour sought legal advice and was told if no order of deaths could be established, Colin would be the beneficiary?

Her WS dated 8/9/85 says the twins were shot first and Sheila last.

The WS was completed within hours of her approach to the police on the 7/9/85.

Her saying this does not benefit her.

Very possible the twins were shot first, once each or 8 times. Then Sheila was shot last as she had remained sleeping.

You would help your argument enormously if you were able to produce some authentic document from an appropriately qualified person confirming the order of deaths had any bearing on the outcome.

I have already stated what I believe to be the case and this chimes with exactly what took place.

Surely it is common sense that CC would have no claim whatsover to the Bamber estate.

Please stop flooding the board with unsubstantiated rubbish.

Your last sentence is unnecessary. I think Colin may have been entitled to something, even under the laws of intestacy, as Sheila was down to inherit the freehold of Osea Road, which would in time have been bequeathed to Nicholas and Daniel, whose next of kin was their father.

I'm not a lawyer, so no rude comments please. https://www.angliaresearch.co.uk/legal-services/intestacy-rules/#anchor1

When I referred to 'some authentic document from an appropriately qualified person' I was seeking something that pertains to this particular case.

David keeps stating RWB sought legal advice and was told XYZ.  Lets see what was put in writing from the legal adviser.

I maintain that the correct outcome, based on intestacy law, was followed.

I wonder if Colin ever took legal advice.
