COLP INVESTIGATORS, refused to copy a total of 60 photographs taken at the scene during the investigation by Essex police into the five deaths on 7th August 1985. These 60 photographs belonged to six separate negative strips containing 10 frames, and are understood to include photographs of Sheila Caffells body on top of the bed at a time when she only had one shot to her neck. One of these two photographs depicts Sheila on the bed in a sexually provocative pose, with her groin region fully exposed. Other photographs not copied by COLP include further shocking images of victims stage managed in provocative poses. Some of the photographs in this section were taken before PC Bird arrived at the scene or started to take his own photographs which commenced at around 10 O'clock that same morning...
