Bill,

The Campaign Team are definitely claiming that it was 347,000 documents - documents not pages !!

For example: in this video, after around 6:40, Philip refers to "around 300,000 documents" - documents not pages!

Can you prove it to us?

Can you provide a coherent, non-contradictory account of why some many documents were created, no doubt at massive time and effort, only to be "hidden"?

For example, was is due to the PII expiring?

You say that his lawyers had access to these documents "on a restricted basis" even at the 2002 trial.

Also, it is said there was a change in the law around 2005 and this was the reason why he received the documents in 2011.

So which is it? A change in the law or PII expiry?

I could, but it would require a really lengthy essay and, without wishing to seem rude, I simply have not got time.  The number of individual pages of documents runs into the low millions, although some are copies as individual documents appeared in various pages.  There was a large amount of material generated for the original trial, then for the two police enquiries and for the appeal.  Many of the documents were not disclosed (not every document has to be disclosed).  Some were withheld under PII and some were released on a limited basis for inspection at the time of the 2002 appeal.  It was these that were subsequently released around 2012 by those holding them.  I personally know these facts to be true.

Was anything disclosed in 2012 which actually goes back to 1985/1986?

Yes, most of it.

Please could you give me an example of something only disclosed at the end of 2011?

Statements of witnesses not called at trial, various notes and logs, documents from the two police enquiries.  There were also versions of witness statements. It is actually quite normal for there to be a lot of unused material in a big criminal trial.  There were also a lot of photographs.

I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and furballs.

Perhaps the last photo can form part of the next CCRC submission?

Yes, these were included in the photos released.  I did not know these were available online.  Where did you find them?  Have you also seen the one with the two police posing with page 3 of the Sun in the kitchen with Nevill's body?
