Would like to know more about the terrain on the left turn pathway around 300 metres before the prosecutions turn off.

This doesn't look as good as the prosecution turn off & is not in a straight line. However it does go to Pages Lane & avoids the 3 Pages Lane properties.

Bamber would have known in 85.

It's about 1.5km from WHF to the bottom of Pages Lane ILB, then it turns into a footpath, not a direct path to the sea wall, it takes a few turns and narrow's, so road wise it's a dead end.  I went to the top, but i didn't go down.  My Kommot [mapping] will not let me plot a cycle Route along the sea wall and this is the best cycling app used by millions.  Local Cyclists input cycle routes in the local arae, the Sea Wall is not one plotted by cyclists.  I can override it, but then it tells me there might be area's i have to dismount my bike.

This is the messaging i get from KOMOOT  Includes a segment in which cycling is not permitted

You'll need to dismount and push your bike.

I do now LOL - it's the welsh bloke from Auf Wiedersehen Pet.

(Now I'm wondering why he (in particular) would be hiding in the field?)  ???

Welsh? He was like Bristol type in auf. He had a fist fight with Harrison Ford in Raiders.

Thanks for that first sentance. Pages Lane merging into a footpath leading to The Sea Wall.

Can see why the prosecution had him cycling that route.

A foot path in the pitch black on a bike.

Pitch black is being in a lift during a power cut.

Both the prosecution and defence agreed it could be cycled in outside darkness. It was an open area.

Agree if going there was the first time, daylight would be essential. However Bamber had over a decades experience of the area.

Experience doesn't mean anything in terms of being able to see.

Darkness is darkness

Bristol isn't a kick in the arse off Wales but you're right it was a Bristol accent.

Have you got a source the defence did agree ?

Please don't say " they didn't contest it" what was to contest? The mantra was he was at home, was innocent and didn't make any journey.

Do you have a source of any member of Bambers legal team at trial saying " yes he definatley could have gone via the sea wall "

Or any source they he could before or in the aftermath?

Thank you

Good actor, he lived in Birmingham for many years and had a scrapyard there.
