One thing that may influence peoples opinion of Bamber's transport is there experience of bikes.

I have had a bike for 18 months. So would charge through The Sea Wall route. Espescially if hyped up. Including on June's bike.

Non cyclists may find the words 'farm tracks' intimidating.

Bamber was not a cyclist. However he was young and fit. He had also lived and worked between the two properties for over 10 years. Suspect his cycling would be similar to mine.

Adam, there's a saying which goes thus:- We need to walk one mile in another person's shoes before we can understand what it feels like to be that person................In this case, it maybe that you need to get on your bike and cycle the route it's claimed, by some, that JB took, before you know if it's possible for him to have done so?

I think he used to cycle very often as a youth in fairness. It's in CALS book.

I used to cycle as a  young kid, as most boys did. I had a chopper. I last used one a year or so ago on a family day out.  ( Mountain bike ) It never leaves you.

I don't think he would be of the cautious mindset. If gulity the idiot put the silencer back in the cupboard! For all an sundry to discover.

Shot a staged suicide victim twice !

Did behaviour after the crime which invoked suspicion on him

Told his girlfriend what he did.

Not the most retiring or cautious personality types. If he can do all that I  think it's safe to say he didn't worry by a short car journey.

He's not a criminal mastermind by any stretch of the imagination if you believe him guilty. They were on his case from the start. He was on remand within two months and convicted and jailed for life within 14 months.

Did not make any attempts to cover his tracks.

Sounds like Bamber needed a whip and hat to cycle the farm tracks.

Wouldn't be surprised if Pat Roach was hiding in the fields.

I don't know who Pat Roach is but if he had been, he's have spotted Bamber having to push his bike over rough terrain - and you thought he'd be spotted if he drove! Damn that Pat Roach!

I do now LOL - it's the welsh bloke from Auf Wiedersehen Pet.

(Now I'm wondering why he (in particular) would be hiding in the field?)  ???

I've never heard of him!!!

Looked him up. I remember him having an argument with a plane in an Indiana Jones film.

The Good Life, tick! Some Mothers? No, no, NO! It seemed as if everyone was having fun at the expense of the mentally challenged. It wasn't until Michael Crawford joined the cast of Phantom that I stopped seeing Frank Spencer.

Would like to know more about the terrain on the left turn pathway around 300 metres before the prosecutions turn off.

This doesn't look as good as the prosecution turn off & is not in a straight line. However it does go to Pages Lane & avoids the 3 Pages Lane properties.

Bamber would have known in 85.
